"This is something we certainly have to look at very closely," Miles said when asked about possible defensive changes. "Certainly, they took advantage of us in one-on-one coverage. We'll certainly look at it. If not personnel, the maybe it's call."

Stop right there. The majority of LSU fans understand losing is part of the game. Sooner or later we all get a loss like this. The key is to bounce back and play aggressive mistake free football against SC next week. The problem lies with the offense as much as the defense here.
The retards that come here and lose it probably live their lives the same way. Always complaining about their job, wife, life.
At least give some of us credit for understanding that football is a game, It doesnt change the outcome of your life in general. Theres a reason some are called FANaticS

playing to create negative plays instead of sitting back playing soft and reacting to the offense

let the DL rush upfield to disrupt plays

blitz more, and blitz creatively

play press coverage

bench mccray. he's about useless at this point

basically, make offenses react to our D, and not the other way around. people will argue we may give up big plays, but we're playing soft pussy shite and we're giving up big plays. at least if we pressure, we'll get some negative plays

Completely agree with all points. In 2005, it felt we were blitzing all the time after the debacle's of ASU and Tenn. What is the ratio of zone to man this year in comparison with previous years in your opinion? And are we playing man underneath with the safeties playing over the top at all?

HAHAHA well their "All Americans" put up 3 points

maybe i was exaggerating saying all americans, but fitzgerald did get open at will and we failed to get to their quarterback.

i think the game just showed we were very suspect on defense and it showed more in more in other games.

much more man

since 2005 we've progressively gone more to man

that's like all we do

but our safeties NEVER make plays. it's mind boggling

This is what I have seen as well. I am surprised we don't blitz more.

This is what I thought. I probably think that the coaches don't feel that the safeties are capable of going one on one with anyone in coverage, so that might force their hand in that respect. In that case, I would think it would be even more reason to blitz.

it's what i said last year also

we're giving up big plays no matter what

why we completely frick ourselves by doing our best NOT to pressure and possibly get negative plays blows my mind

I remember man, especially the meltdown after the Ken. game. First, just let the D-line rush upfield. We don't do that enough. If that doesn't work, start bringing people.

I suppose it is a lazy way of playing contain. But it doesn't work. It didn't work for Ole Miss last year, and it doesn't work now. Just let our athletes play. I think half of the problem is that we are overthinking things.

Coleman did pretty well on coverage. Overall, I agree though, the safeties need to grow up fast.

We have a lot of talent on this team but there were a lot of mental breakdowns and UF was just 110% prepared and pumped up. The biggest surprize to me was how both our O and D lines were owned by the supposedly inferior and smaller Gators.

Hopefully, the team can mature through the season and not let mistakes snowball like they did last night. I still think we have a good chance to get to Atlanta. Bama is bound to meltdown at some point.

what i don't get is how everyone thinks we are so much worse on D than last year, we couldn't stop Arky, UK, or Auburn when it counted, we basically padded our stats against 5 bad offenses to start the season, this has been a downward spiral dating back 3 years like someone said earlier.

i agree

we basically padded our stats against 5 bad offenses to start the season,

this is what is scary

we started our season against 4 horrible offenses and we couldn't really pad our stats

It started after VTech last year.
