Hell, I could have put Bill Fralic, John Hannah, Anthony Munoz, Eric Andolsek, Alan Faneca, or Kevin Mawae on this year's line and the out put would have been similar.

whats your "evidence" for how we were closer to beating bama, UF and ole miss then we were to losing to arkansas, UGA and Miss State
here's mine:
Miss St- really nothing needs to be said. LSU SHOULD have lost that game but Lee is a moron and didn't pitch the ball when he should have, they called a dumb pass play (which C Jones made a nice play on) and LSU won a game they should have lost
Arkansas: the hogs had more 1st downs than LSU, more rushing yards, more passing yards. LSU had less penalties. Arkansas won time of possesion. Arkansas was better on 3rd down. LSU won on special teams. A very important facet of the game, but Arkansas won the other 2 aspects.
UGA: Not that LSU was close to losing this game, but fact is it took a game winning TD drive to beat the dogs. I'd wash this game out with the Ole Miss loss.
No matter how you look at it, even if I give you the UGA game and wash it out with Ole Miss...LSU was closer to losing to State and Arkansas than they were to beating UF and Bama.

There are plenty of teams with good OL play but they dont all win championships... I'm just stating the difference between us and Bama... GOOD OL play would have put us in the championship this year even with our young QB

correct, BUT teams don't win championships with weak lines
not every team that has great line play wins a championship, but every team that wins a championship has a great line play

You misuderstand me... Im not here to debate how close we were to losing 6 games.... you can look at it from the negative side if you choose to because I believe both are debatable... but to say we werent close to winning any of our games would be laughable if you chose to argue that way...

There are plenty of teams with good OL play but they dont all win championships... I'm just stating the difference between us and Bama... GOOD OL play would have put us in the championship this year even with our young QB

I know a whole helluva lot more about college football than you.
VERY rarely does a team win the NC without great oline play. That is the point.
Podnuh, my kitchen is far too hot for you to come in swing a cheap non-stick pan!

I believe you and I are arguing the same point... Not sure where we differ... How do you KNOW that you "know more football" than me? did you play for someone? Just curious?
