OSU was just flat out not as good as LSU and got beat. The line play of LSU destroyed OSU. Les' clock management did not win that game in case you missed the memo.

WOW. Way to add to the conversation. Nobody was talking about Tressel. If you want to start a thread on that, go to the MSB. And that argument is always the worst. Our coach clearly didn't know what the hell was going on Saturday, but let's point out that he beat Ohio State 2 years ago. Yeah that helps. Idiot.

I just don't know why they didn't hurry to the line & run a play without being set (penalty) or call a time out, also a penalty, since we had none left- the game can't end on a penalty!!

Yes it can if it's on the offense. Also with less than a minute left there would have been a 10 second run off, game over.

Well, not exactly.
First of all, there is no penalty for calling a timeout you don't have, you just get ignored.
If you actually get the ball snapped and commit a foul, but manage to score, then the defense would have to accept the penalty to negate the score and the down would need to be replayed.
There are no time run offs in college football - that is an NFL thing.
Also, Les knew that he had burned his last timeout - you can see the referee on the video informing him that he had used his last timeout. That is SOP.
