Welter has been pretty bad, I'll grant you that. However, they did make the change. Some people are arguing that as long as AJ is here, no matter how much better BH might be, AJ will be the starter. That's just nonsense.

We saw what BH can do against Miss St and then a few weeks later how fragile he was against Auburn on the road. The QB position seems to be pretty unique when considering a player's psyche. I wish the QB play was better but I trust the coaches.

You are definitely allowed to have an opinion. I'm just wondering what your reasoning is.

I don't believe a word out of Miles's mouth. He also said Herron is a beast, yet he's barely played all season. Meanwhile Lacouture starts and I haven't heard his name on so much as a tackle.

Yes, because Miles was the one keeping Beckwith on the bench.

Some things never change.

If the head coach can't make that kind of a change than we have bigger issues than who's taking snaps under center.

LaCouture has been playing some good ball. Tackles aren't the end-all be-all for a DT.

Because there is no way a kid like BH should waste his talents on the bench behind an AJ if he wants to play on Sunday.

That would set us back to the Andrew Hatch days. High schools would have a better QB depth chart than LSU.

No matter what, we need to be hustling to bring a top JUCO QB into the program. Maintaining the status quo means the possibility of a repeat of our problem this year.

Harris must be threatening to transfer.

I doubt that. If a freshman went into the coaching staff's office demanding playing time or anything else and saying they will transfer if their demands weren't met, would probably get shown the door.

Well, the last time he did that we got blown the frick out, our offense has never looked worse and Harris couldn't even call the correct play in the huddle. So there's that.

So he is permanently banned from playing QB at LSU forever. His destiny is set, and he will never ever get better. Does that cover it?

He is the future. Not Jennings but I will belive that the coaches see it when they give him meaningful snaps. Not just say it.

No but he obviously wasn't ready. It's not your Madden franchise. These coaches are trying to win actual football games and they thought Jennings gave them the best opportunity. It was going just fine even against Bama. The defense on the final drive and the WRs throughout the game let us down.

harris plays defense?

at least harris led the team to a TD against the 1st team defense vs auburn

jennings half of the game and couldn't do anything so why does he get a pass?

I disagree as the D continually gave the O the ball and we were unable to put points on the board. The D is what allowed our O to sputter out at the end of decent drives and still stay in the game. QB, WR, and KOS is where we struggled.

Not sure who I just heard on the radio, but he was saying Harris is being given a lot more reps at practice this week. I, like others, believe it when I see it, but would like to see a split this weekend. If Harris still can't call the plays and is still throwing like he did against Auburn, then you just quit rotating them. If Harris seperates, give him more snaps. If not, then we can start praying to the football gods for divine intervention in the offseason.

You keep repeating this like it means something. Harris completed ONE pass for more than 3 yards. It was underthrown into double coverage. It worked out. Good on Harris. Other than that play and a couple of runs, he looked bad. Like it was a nightmare.

Jennings did not get a half. Jennings didn't come in until 5:28 left in the third quarter.

Jennings had a TD pass to Dupre going into the endzone on which Auburn was called for pass interference. He also had another pass on which Auburn was called for PI.
