It hasn't rained all week, so a .5 inch of light to moderate rain should soak right in and not leave the field a soupy mess. Now if it'd been raining for days beforehand, that's another story.

I hope the wind stays at 10-15. Harris throws a tighter, harder ball, and Bama's kicker is hot garbage.

I have been quite nervous about the rain and the possibility of it being light (or hopefully being done altogether) by game time really is pumping me up.
I think heavy rain benefits Alabama. Their defense is bigger and would be able to hold ground better in the rain. Our defense is faster and a dry field really helps us. In addition, LF really utilizes the full speed single cut to perfection and that can become less effective in a soggy field.
Here's to hoping it rains tonight and that it will be done by game time.

Weather Bug has it 100% during the day and 50% night. Any chance they pull a tarp? I highly doubt it because I believe they want a sloppy track.

Tomorrow morning it is supposed to be really bad. The gameday crew is gonna get wet! Should be fun to watch.

Wunderground, the far superior weather site, says 20% at kickoff that continues the whole game.

Different data sources for the most part.

No rain from Houston to here, 59 north about 1.5 hours from Tuscaloosa. I guess it's coming from the north?

Based on the computer models, I don't see much rain. As of now, the model is showing the heavy rain much north of I20.

If it continues to drift NE as the front moves SE, you may be right.

pretty much all forecasters use the same weather models. it just comes down to individual tendencies and preferences.
most of the models are available online.. but wunderground and TWC both use the same internal RPM model to supplement the widely available ones.

26 1/2 hours till game time and the weather is looking better. Light rain to drizzle at kick off and tapering off during the game.
