The goal at LSU is championships every year

but a lot of yall need to slow your roll

And this is a fact. It's one non conference game. Everyone slow down.

2003, 2007 and 2011 were great seasons for the Tigers in modern times.

2011 was the greatest ever, and would have been considered one of the greatest teams in the history of college football if not for a BS rematch against Bama.

2013 will be better.

I certainly hope so, but will be extremely difficult to be better than 2011. So far, the win against Oregon in 2011 was better than this year's win against TCU, if you want to compare. But I'm with you, this team could run the table just like the 2011 team did. I'm just not sure this team can do it in as dominating a fashion as the 2011 team. Time will tell.

Agreed. Dafranz knows that WE ALL need to stay focused. The last thing I want to do is fumble a snap.

Holy shite, do we have practice today?!?! I CAN'T FIND MY PLAYBOOK!!!! WHERE IS MY PLAYBOOK?!?!?!?

ETA: TIGER FAN 72, don't feel bad about missing that blocking assignment last week. We still believe in you.

I'm about as positive as it gets with LSU football , but pumped the breaks. We were far more talented than tcu. They don't recruit in the top 25 range.

Am I the only one who would put 2010 on that list? 2010 was just so friggin' awesome with all the close games, it was a real thrill ride to watch! JL was whippin' arse!

2011 doesn't get the credit it deserves, and that's all cause of 1/9.

Disregard that, and LSU had one of the best regular seasons in CFB history. Decimating ranked teams by 20+ points.

LSU was like "The Nothing". Until fancy pants N.S. ruined it.

There is a certain pleasure in knowing Bama didn't win the SEC that year. In fact, LSU has won the same number of SEC Championship games as Bama.

Why? You superstitious?

Let people be optimistic. Optimism and realism aren't mutually exclusive.

My prediction was we'll be a one loss team at worst this year, and after seeing our first game and Bama's first game I'm sticking with it.

"2011 doesn't get the credit it deserves, and that's all cause of 1/9."

I can't decide if I agree with this assertion or not. For one thing, it is HARD to "disregard" such a disastrous performance in the NCG. Second, it is difficult to judge a team that was very good at running the ball, superb on defense, and superb on specials teams, but TERRIBLE in the passing game. 2011 was a great team and accomplished a great deal, but they had a weakness so glaring that it is a hard team to assess. I have never seen another team that could fail to get a first down in a half but go on to demolish a very worthy opponent by 30 or so.

You people are going to be real disappointed first time This offense isn't firing on all cylinders.

It will happen , wait and see.
