I watched the game 3 times. Live, then a couple more times to make sure I saw what I thought I saw.
The second go round I only watch OL and DL. This years OL is going to be ok, and the DL is nasty and deep.
The third go-round, is to your point. I thought 33 complemented 40 and 7. We have spent many seasons with over pursuing LBs and being crap against the run. I think Baker has settled into what he wants. I thought West played well vs the run, this let 7 and 40 fly to the football and play fast. I trust Baker and if he says 33 is our best option, who the hell am I to question that? This was the best LB play we have had in years. I enjoyed watching them play together.

But give the Clemson RB credit.
Give their OL #74 credit too. He's lined up as a blocking TE essentially. Pyburn blows him up, pushes him into the backfield. But he gets past Pyburn and basically moves the pile into the end zone.
Rewatch the play Youtube, go to the 4 minute mark
West has the RB stood up, Keys is coming over from West's left. 74 barrels in, cuts off Keys's legs and lands on Guillory, taking him out too.
It was gonna be tough to stop the RB anyway, but once 74 comes in, West and Keys specifically lost leverage.

Nope. Whit had a chance to prevent the score. Go watch it again. The rb ran tough and made a play.

No need to be a dickhole. Go frick yourself

The back had the advantage because he was square at the point of attack then got low. Weeks did a great job to stop him and make it a fight. Our D could not get there before they got reinforcements to help the back.

Thank you, got it plays small. That makes sense and I agree.

why dont fans react like this when people say DJ chester shouldnt play, or ashton stamps doesnt need to see the field
or Greg Penn last year, who was cursed with the same deficiencies

U will be criticized for this comment but you are 100 % correct. He is not fast enough to help this team.
Now watch he’ll do great against lowly La tech and the apologist will say he’s great but he will cost us BIGLY vs UF.

BS. Remember when Whit was a freshman and playing great but he “didn’t know the play book” so he couldn’t get in over our pathetic senior at the time?
PLAY THE BEST PLAYERS BRIAN!!

Three top tacklers from the game, statistically, were Woodland, Perkins, and West.

He’s a big linebacker. Of course he’s not going to run down Klubnik ……but he did run down a wr and tackled him before he could score. Guess you didn’t see that huh?

West is a solid linebacker. He does his job and holds down the middle of the field, and you don’t really need much more than that considering the two freaks who line up next to him. Yes, he is a step slower than Whit/Perk but he is a good tackler and he got some pressure when he was blitzed.

Set an eye appointment fast. Afterwards you may determine your woman isn't very beautiful, so be forewarned lol.

The hell does small for his size mean? You mean for his height or what? Bit of an oxymoron.
You really can’t figure out what he meant?

Has anyone else watched the tape back and graded out WEST Weeks performance?

I love football, but this seems a bit much. Not knocking anyone who does it though. Let us know how he graded out.

I was referring to him being a dick to me. Has nothing to do with your race baiting.
