I've told my Aggie girlfriend that when an A&M fan brings up class, it makes them sound like Ole Miss. When they bring up academics, it makes them sound like Vanderbilt. When it comes to football, these are two schools you don't want to replicate.

The last time I was at College Station/Kyle Field (1990), every time we chanted, "L! S! U!" they would yell, "sucks". Maybe times have changed . . .

I think you'll find Aggies to be be a hospitable bunch for the most part. Students (at any Univ) are usually the exception and may not know how to handle the purple n gold influx.
However.... LSU fans tend to get the ire when taunting "Tiger Bait" etc. But it's all good college football fandom.
