Ok and on how many carries? And those other things you mentioned are legit things to consider as well. Stats alone can be deceiving. I'm not saying Ridley is a bad player but that I think our other backs are better.

Patrick Peterson & Richard Dickson among others, have proven this to be bullshite. Your arguments are very stale & boring.
Thank you!!

Does it matter? What if it was raining out too?

And yet you asked a Stat question.

Well you wanted to talk stats so I asked a stat question. And how would # of carries not matter? You could have 2 carries for 14yds and say you average 7.0 yards a carry.

zinger was out and we had NO other TEs
PP was our best corner from the day he stepped on campus. how long did it take for him to start (the same situation happened with K-dub in 2006)? bringing up PP strengthens my argument

I agree with you. I was mocking SlowFlowPro's arguing "Techniques". I expect to see him toss up the 2007 VT Keiland Williams youtube highlight run soon. He never figured out RBs have to take the ball into the endzone from the 2 yard line, which affects the overall stats.

I know I'm in this late...but with a torn ACL you cant really expect him to be back to his full potential until probably spring 11.

Didn't Zinger drop a TD pass against Kentucky in the Kentucky endzone in 2007?

"K-Dub" has never established himself as LSU's #1 RB.

Talked to him Saturday. Torn ACL. Book it

Won't hurt us too bad this season. The only thing is he would have gotten much needed experience this year and that could hurt us down the road
Are you nuts. Ridley was emerging as our sold number 2 running back. If it's an acl, then this is a devastating blow for the team and especially for Ridley who is a good kid and has been waiting his turn. I hope it is not as bad as reported. I'm sick.

I guess I am because there has bee no indication of this being the case.

Are you sure? I think you should check your information because I checked and LSUsports says Murphy is a Jr and Keiland and Scott are Seniors while Ridley is a sophomore
murph dog took a redshirt in 2006

you mean like KW against MSU (he did it twice, if memory serves, after hester couldn't)?

the end of 2006 disagrees with you
and it just so happens this was when our offense finally lived up to its potential
hester/JV/alley = 7 points against AU

Not coming back you on this. I'm just upset. He was coming on strong in every one's opinion and his limited time last year, he showed slashing moves, speed, and power. Ford will get a shot now in the fall.

if we have about 2 major injuries...and i mean injuries to both scott and KW
ford is prolly right at 200 lbs right now
could he perform? sure, but he's not miles' type of back

I really hate this. I thought he was going to get significant pt this year too. If not at FB, I think he'd get more of Scott's carries this year with Keiland playing a similar role as he did last year. We cant' afford to have Chuck gassed and sucking at the end of the season like he was/did last year. And I just think Ridley is straight-up better than Murphy.
We'll live, but this is a blow to our offense, regardless of what some of you who are poo-pooing this think. It limits creativity, but mainly it gives us almost no room for injury. If Scott or Keiland go down, we're fricked.

csand12, there were several practice reports on TOS that 'suggested' that Ridley would be playing alot of downs as the fullback. A Hester-type fullback, very versatile, not just a blocker. This is why most think he would have been playing a good bit....
Just sayin..... I think you might be wrong. Sorry man
