JC Copeland is an absolute freak with a motor like no other. If he would have had the hieght ,like 6'4 instead of 6'2, he would have been an def five star and in talk for best DT or DE for the 2010 recruiting class. This beast was an absolute steal for us and will def push for playing time.

Not really. It says that our other guys haven't really panned out.

Realistically, we will only see 3-4 freshman see any PT and it will probably only be on special teams.

Gore is a lock to be a RS. Ware potentially could play if there are injuries to others at RB.

Fobbs and Boone = one of them will probably play in special teams.

Eric Reid will play special teams and be a backup OLB/SS.

Mathieu and Vinson shouldn't play, but they might see ST work too.

We are deep at DT, but if Copeland is at 290 and still quick then there is no way you can keep him off the field.

So.....

Reid
Fobbs/Boone
Copeland
Ware

Thats really the only chances.

I don't think height played any role in his ranking......You don't need to be taller than 6'2 for DT.

At least one of the WRs. We only have 5 scholarship WRs.

At least one of the RBs. And about 2-3 guys on special teams. So between 3-5 FR.

I guess I overlooked Copeland because it's hard to judge linemen for me because I don't have the eye for a good high school linemen on film. Just seems like in high school someone is always dominating someones line of scrimmage and I sometimes wonder if it's because of there's a lack of opposing talent or because they're just that dominate.

But it seems though I better study this film a little more because I feel like I'm missing on this kid Copeland. So many people keep bringing him up.

Not so fast my friend?

I think Reid is the 4th Safety and gets some PT.
I think Simon or Boone gets some reps at PT at WR
I think Ware may get some carries depending on how good our RB really are
Matthie will see some PT at CB

And Worle has the best shot at starting.

I think Tyrann Mathieu(sp) may be the most underrated guy in the last 2 or 3 years. I think he is going to be a BEAST of a CB for us early.

Copeland's vid is RIDICULOUS. He looks unblockable. Might be the best DL video (not saying he's the best player) I've seen. His video IMO is much more impressive than Ego Ferguson's and it's not even close. I would be shocked if Copeland doesn't make an impact on the DL in the next couple of years. He has the ability to play inside or outside and just gets unbelievable leverage. I understand he's going against high school competition, but he makes them look like middle school players.

We agree on Reid.

Simon probably isn't going to qualify. If he does, then I will legitimately consider him. If he qualifies, he has a decent chance as a special teams guy. He is being looked at as a safety first (I don't agree with the move; he should be a WR).

Either Boone or Fobbs will at least be considered for ST as a returner.

Ware may get a couple carries, but won't play a role next year unless one of the three get hurt.

Waste of a year IMO. We already have enough backups there in St. Julien, Bryant, and Brooks.

Worle may not have the grades and he has to work on his form when blocking. No way I see him passing up Allen or any other guy that might start at FB.

Boone and Gore are not nearly as fast as you all make them out to seem. Boone is very smooth, but not really a pure burner. Gore has good agility and a good burst, but not amazing speed either.

Neither is a legit 4.4 guy.

I think Reid and Boone get significant PT. I also think Tyrann will make the 2 deep and see some action in dime packages.
