we are back to the original question who gets Bradshaw's spot
I'm out of the country on business so maybe I missed something.

ETA: I just saw the previous post which said he's lost his rotation spot. I didn't know that.

Damn, I didn't hear that. It was a busy day trying to keep up with both bball's. Thanks.

Weird to me since Bradshaw pitched well for us last year.

I think he had the most IP during the streak last year.

Maybe some time out of the rotation will let him recoup and come back strong.

Anybody know why Ross is not starting on Saturday since he's or easy #2, and also PM said he would be the Saturday guy before the season started?

because Ross going against most teams #3 weekend starter presents the best opportunity to win every weekend series.

This past friday aside, LSU should lock up fridays pretty easily with Ranaudo as well as Sundays with Ross. Saturday is the X-factor. Id really like to see Coleman as the Saturday starter. IMO that would give LSU the best weekend rotation in the SEC and one of the best in the country

We will need Coleman out of the pen when we start playing solid teams and the games are close. A solid stopper in the bp can always come in when the starter struggles and go 5+ like Louis can. I will use the SEC tourney championship game as an example, Louis shut the door on the rebels.

I'm not totally against the idea Coleman starting if it comes to it but I think we'd do better going to other options first because we NEED GOOD RELIEVERS.

It seems a lot of people here think we have endless relievers and that's who we use the MOST of. If Coleman starts the only reliable steady reliever we have is Bertuccini and we can't pitch him every night.

Take a look at today's game for the reason why we need solid relievers. We cannot rely on guys like Alsup or Nicholson in close games.

Can't call any freshman solid until they play better batting.

Bradshaw may need to be out of the rotation for a few weeks just to build some confidence back. Perhaps a few mid-week starts would be good for Daniel.

Honestly he's struggling between his ears. It's a complete mental thing and when he comes aroung, look out! Kids got some serious grit...

Coaching staff will do the right thing to rebuild his confidence...

and if we keep struggling on fridays against good pitching we should give bradshaw plenty of runs every saturday and thats sets up well for sunday with ross.it just hurt friday this week because we lost.

Which kinda proves my point. His best outing was a start. Ranaudo, Coleman, and Ross IMO, would be the best weekend rotation LSU could possibly field. Ott, Bert, Bradshaw, are great first options out of the pen. Matulis is great as a weekday starter
