well, most here would argue that LSU won despite of JJ, not because he led them to wins.

Not most. But keep on with your little nrgative delusions.

We won in spite of JJ in many of games. See Florida & Tenn.

Refresh my memory. Didn't JJ score against Florida? Yeah JJ's td run against Tenn wasn't important at all.

You are going into a gunfight armed with a butter knife.

one thing I can prove, with JJ under center, LSU was ranked around 110 in almost all passing stats among the 120 Div-1 Qbs. That's a fact.

Sleep on dat...

Gee, it's not age, but time in the program.

We can eat our own all we want, but LSU has 20 wins in two seasons while playing a top 10 or close to it schedule each year...thats not chopped liver no matter the O stats and anyone thinking Mett or anyone else is gonna walk in and win the job over that kinda playing time experience is in for a rude awakening.

And I don't care who starts as long as we win. Just saying chances are slim anyone takes the 1st snap other than JJ.

All I want is a fair and above board quarterback competition. And the best player gets the start. Who that is, I don't care as long as the best player is the starter.

JJ.....what makes anyone believe that Mett can read SEC defenses right off the bat. Blinn is little more than a high school and his little time as a dawg doesn't exactly give him much experience. Mett may start later in the season but not against Oregon.

JJ should start until Mett can win the job. That's how this works.

Right, but you're wording this as if Mett won't have more than ample opportunity to "win the job" before next September. No one in the public is going to care if JJ loses his spot, and there is absolutely no pressure for Mile's to get political and risk letting JJ have another terrible game so that people can see why he's starting Mett. The argument last year was that LSU did not have a QB. JJ had a much improved game against #18 (did they even finish ranked?) Texas A&M, but he still made crucial mistakes that would have looked much worse versus the SEC. Not to mention, he had two seperate RBs break 100 yards rushing on the night. I think if Mile's wants a legitimate shot at the BCS Championship, and Kragthorpe wants to start building a program the right way, then why risk putting a spread qb in pro-style. Jared Lee is even a better fit for pro-style than JJ is. JJ likes to break the pocket, Mett has great pocket presence. Hell, if JL fixed his back foot problem he's a good fit. It's clear that Crowton's offense was too "complicated" for JJ, Les says Kragthorpe will simplify, but can JJ learn the new system fast enough, or will it still be too complicated for him?

Masoli and Cam Newton disagree with you. Just think Alabama might have two NCs in the last 3 years if Saban didn't go hard headed and stick with JPW two years ago... McElroy might have gotten it done as a sophomore.

Yeah, and how many of those yards came from the 3 big passes to TT set up by play action from 2 100 yd rushers?

LSU's passing offense disagrees with you. Spring is only a few months away, both qbs are learning a new system, level playing field. We'll see.

And you would trade passing stats for wins? Ole Miss had better passing stats. Dat's a fact. You want to be Ole Miss?

Sleep on dat.

I'll take 4 TDs, bout 230 total yds with 1 t/o, and say thank you, JJ.

To bad some are so busy pissing on our own that they can't even enjoy a good performance without whining like a spoiled child, but each to our own.

I wouldn't say that was a good performance. TT and the RBs were great. JJ in LSU terms is a BELOW average starting QB. And don't give me that shite about his record. The defense was championship caliber and he had the tools on offense that an average LSU QB would have gone to a BCS game

If JJ performed like that all year long he'd be putting up some unreal stats, though. It was a solid performance.. nothing unreal.

I'm glad he's finally developing to be a legitimate threat running the ball.. cause his passing is pretty bad.
