What?
He accumulated most of these wins in the time period to which you're referring.
If anything it's easier today than it was, say 10 years ago to rack up the wins. Hell the coach today can win 13 games and not even play in the championship.

Who knows????......Les has an NC and was in the big game twice....O seems to be a great recruiter....let's let it play out....

you said not many coaches have won 10, 11, 12 games a year...well yeh bc not long ago 13 games wasn't practically guaranteed...14 if you go to sec cg

the only lsu coach to win any title in the last 40 years with 100% his players was miles.

From causal fallacy right into argument from incredulity. Good work.

neither was yours.
the only difference is Miles actually took a team of his own players after a down turn and won a sec title.
O's claim to fame is finally having a 2nd season with more than 2 conf wins.

so
O is basically winning at the same rate CLM did at LSU

anyone with common sense knows if O takes over for Dinardo he never makes it to a bowl game.

yes the same rate that had you calling Miles an underachiever and an idiot.
the difference is that was what got miles fired and has you rubbing one out to O every night.
ed orgeron will never win a sec title at LSU.
im shocked that youre not calling him an illiterate baffoon that barely has a grasp on the English language.
but hey... everyone has given up on the idea of you being consistent in your treatment of lsu coaches.

It's also completely irrelevant to the topic at hand. Just as anyone suggesting that if Orgeron had to follow DiNardo LSU would still only have one title.
The issue is which of the two mentioned in the OP will have the better career. Not who would have had the better career on Earth 2.
Not to mention, even those of us who like Miles (or more accurately can at least appreciate the man for what he did here) would concede that Miles would have had a much more difficult time BUILDING LSU into the powerhouse we became under him than he did at MAINTAINING what Saban had started to build. Of course, he wasn't hired to build the LSU program...was he?
Miles was hired to follow Saban, and as such the only fricking thing that matters is "how well did he do the job for which he was hired?" ANSWER: One NC, a second NC appearance, 3 SEC Titles and 77% winning percentage with 114 total wins.
Orgeron was hired to follow Miles. He will ultimately be judged by how well he does THAT job...not a fictional job for which he was never hired.

ill add.....
-as many top 5 finished as mac, saban, and dietzel COMBINED ( have you seen trout touting last year's #6 finish)
- as many top 10 finishes as the previous 40 years of lsu football combined
- no program in cfb beat more teams that would finish the season ranked in the top 25
- no program spent more weeks in the top 25
just a few facts that make trout cry at night.

There's a lot of coaches that we think of as damn good that have been coaching since Les Miles has been doing it and still haven't come close to measuring up to his accomplishments.

He's winning at the same rate of the guy we fired, not the Mad Hatter that won a NC and played in another.

there is no point.....
in trout's prepubescent mind.....
An economics degree from Michigan and having one of the most accomplished tenures in sec history = bafoon
while
Liberal Arts degree from Northwestern State and having 32 of his 38 year career as a position coach = deity above reproach

Don't look now, but O just lost a 4* OL commit. No longer the No. 2 ranked recruiting class. That leaves LSU with one OL commit, a 3* guard.
