I agree that the #1 reason we lost was defense. No doubt about it.

In fact, the #1 problem this team has is the defense. The fact that it overrides our freshman QB and the freshman mistakes he's making tells a huge story.

It's a "loss", not a "lost", idiot.

he's partly to blame. And I'm not totally buying this freshman crap. He's a redshift freshman meaning he's been in the program a year and a half. Some of y'all act like he's a true freshman......HUGE difference.

Actually 0 game experience vs. 0 game experience, not much of a difference.

anytime you score 38 points in a home game you should win. lee made mistakes, he is a redshirt freshman who was thrown into the sec at the last minute. just remember our quarterback was suppose to be named ryan not jarrett. no team should ever be allowed to score 58 points in tiger stadium. that is the disgrave to this whole thing. that's worse than losing.

Morale Morale Morale - Give Lee the same # of ints without the pic 6's and everybody plays better. Take away more and it gets even better.

Defense has it's problems for sure. But a confident, dependable offense gives the defense something worth playing for.

+1
We scored 38 Frickin points with Lee. Georgia gave us the deep ball when Hatch was in becuase apparently they knew we wouldnt let hin throw unless we were at the goal line.
38 frickin points people! If you had told me sat morning that we were gonna score 38 on uga I would have thought "WOW, so we blew them off the field!"
Defense lost this game for us. We have a bad scheme, the play calls are not good and the coaching is stinking up the place. We have the talent, they arent being coached good enough.
If Les doesnt fix it then Lombardi should!

Whoever blames Charles Scott for the lost is an idiot. As for Lee, he deserves his share of the blame. Even he would tell you that.

Both Lee and the D are both at fault for the loss. The 11 guys on D gave up 38 points to Georgia, and Lee gave Georgia 14 points.

Our guys on D are doing a lot better of a job in the national stats that Lee is doing at QB.

Our D is ranked #35 in the NCAA in total defense. Lee is ranked is #69 in the NCAA by completion pct, #43 in the NCAA by QB rating, and #16 in the NCAA when it comes to most interceptions. And when it comes to #16 in the NCAA with most INTs, there is no QB that has thrown more INTs than Lee that has better pass protection than Lee. Lee has only been sacked 3 times, all the NCAA QBs that have more INTs than Lee have been sacked 6, 6, 8, 9, 13, 14, 15, 16, 18,19, 20, 22, 22, 23, and 24 times.

Lee is supported by a veteran offense -- a veteran OL, veteran WRs, a veteran TE, veterans RBs.

Yes, Lee is a first-year starter, but so is half our D -- 2 LBs and 3 guys in our secondary.

I hate throwin a young kid under tha bus and won't.....BUT, he deserves to be accountable on at least some small level. It goes with playing big time ball.

Have to agree with this post completely, think Lee made some mistakes but they’re nothing compared to our defensive situation. Our secondary had more holes than a donut shop on Saturday and it looked like the defensive front was content to wave at the runners when they blew it up the middle.
I’m afraid if we don’t get something resolved on this “co-coordinator” CR#P soon things are only going to get worse. This is starting to remind me of another coach that relied to heavily on his assistance and paid the price in the end.

Lee does need to improve his decision making and staring down the receiver...There is hope...Colt McCoy threw more interceptions than touchdowns last year...Stafford was benched many times during his freshman year...so forth and so on...Where is our d-line-we were supposed to have a mean bad arse d-line...we need to put pressure on the QB

I love how all the Lee backers use his freshman status as an excuse....but then turn around and blame a secondary that has a sophmore who is basically a redshirt freshman. Jai played sparingly last year and more than likely would've redshirted if not for the Kentucky game. I don't remember how much he played before that but he has about as much experience as Lee. We have Patrick Peterson(who is going to be a stud!)playing but is prone to making a mistake or two due to being green. Chad Jones played here and there last year but not nearly enough to be a Laron yet. Jones is another freshman playing that doesn't have nearly enough experience to be an impact player....but yet all you Lee lovers sit there and bash the defense.

Yes the DL should be playing better and the LBs are playing sub par also...but when you have a lack of experience in the secondary, you can't play 100 mph all the time due to trying to stop the homerun ball...it's both the Defense and offense...that's why it's a TEAM sport

I agree. The 2 losses are all on the defense. They have been weak to say the least. Moving the ball and scoring has not been a problem for the offense, the opposite of what we thought going into the season. This is the worst defense we've had at LSU since the Tepper days. I am not exaggerating or trying to be funny. Its the truth.

I don't blame anyone for the loss. I guess I blame myself for caring so much but I do.

Blame is squarely on the QB, the def. secondary, and the def. coaching. It's not ALL one or the other, it's a combination of things, a clusterfrick if you will.

Only partially true. Lee has not improved. He looks directly at the spot that he is going to throw the ball every time that he sets up. He still panics. His technique has not improved and will not improve. Someone else is going to be forced to do this job and it won't be Hatch. I'm not suggesting that anyone else on the team will be able to do this either. That said, the linebackers and defensive backs were abominable. Sheppard cannot get rid of blocks. He was just blown out. Beckwith made a very few plays, but actually did something. Riley and Cutrera are too slow. Hawkins and Chad Jones had a decent game at CB, but the other backs were just terrible. There was one play where the Georgia receiver had no one within 20 yards in any direction. Hard to tell who to blame for that one. Some of these guys won't be around next year. There will be someone else playing these positions.

Also, we need a real defensive coordinator. Get rid of these stumblebums.

I couldn't agree with you more Mr. Poop about running down Lee. Lee is a RS Freshman and he is doing the best that he can. When Perrilloux got kicked off the team I said to myself, I am going to treat this year as a rebuilding year, because of the young QBs. True we have talent enough at the other positions to make a run for another BCS Championship, but I knew that the young QBs will hold us up. Mr. Poop we will finish season at least 9-3 (may lose to Bama) and be going to a BCS Bowl game. What more do the LSU Fans want with two young QBs?

Some LSU Fans are just copy cats and they get a kick out of running down other LSU Fans and the players on the team, just because they see others doing it.
