Well, lets be upfront here...LSU is the flagship of the LSU system and the ULS system has no flagship. That's the weakness in your case.
Call your school anything you wish. That's your right as a Cajun fan, but it's also the right of fans favoring other ULS schools to call BS on your attempt to take the "UL" title as your own.

so everyone here who has mentioned it are fans of the other ULS schools, seems most are LSU fans, different system all together

It's an LSU forum and I know it gets traffic from fans of other schools, some who like to pretend they are LSU fans, but who did you think most of the post would be from????
That doesn't negate the fact that I know of no fan base in the ULS, other than yours, who would not call BS on your thought that you have some right, other than your own personal choice, to the UL title.
Hey, be anything you want and call yourself anything you wish. My only point was to suggest you have some understanding of why others might disagree with you, but still wish you no harm.
If you are going to the game, enjoy yourself and have a safe trip.

Perhaps, but what might be more amazing is the fact you fail to realize much the same goes on in the Cajun forums "bitching" bout LSU.
As much as some of us like to see ourselves or our fan bases or our forums as somehow different and above it all...we aren't. imo

Can you identify the city tag in The University of Southwestern Louisiana? Bitching about the city tag AFTER getting the name changed to The University of Louisiana at Lafayette seems...well, disingenuous at best.
