It would be interesting to see what Nutt could do with Shepard if he was part of his offense. It tok McCluster several years to get to where he is today, but freshmen can become big-time playmakers as well. Urban used Percy Harvin very effectively when he was just a freshman.
It's too early to tell if Shepard will develop into a Percy Harvin or Dexter McCluster, but he needs to be given the opportunity.
It would also help if LSU's OL could be like Ole Miss' OL, which opened big holes against a good UT defense.

He will when he learns where to lineup on the field more consistently.
Sorry for the above racist remark JohnSEC.

Shep will get to McCluster status one day, but he is not there yet. Moffet is good, but Shep just is not in that kind of physical shape right now. I suspect next year you will see a lot different body sported by Shep with Moffet having another summer with him. He has even developed quite a bit since arriving, from High School.
too much logic for these flute players to understand.

the simple answer is coaching. This years offensive performance is just as bad as last years defensive performance.

right now, shepard is not better than mcclusky. doesn't matter what he did in high school. if you had seen that game, it was his finest; he made all the right moves and found all the seams. we need to contain him and make snead try to beat us in the air.
