They didn’t even get a 1st down in the first half vs UGA. But Mathieu made a few big plays to turn the games around and covered up the offensive shortcomings. So Les thought he didn’t need to do anything differently.

correct. It's for the naional championship. No need to save anything for tomorrow. It's "kitchen sink" time. We were obviously struggling offensively, so Les should've tried ANYTHING and EVERYTHING to try to light a spark. You know, like Saban did by pulling Hurts and inserting Tua.

But Les just sat there, doing the same shite that wasn't working, and went down with the ship. Pathetic.

And you're right, there's no difference between losing 21-0 or 35-0. Both are losses.

Yes you are so right because NO Coach can beat an SEC powerhouse twice in the same season with a championship on the line, especially in their almost home stadium.

Signed,

2003 LSU Coach Nick Saban

Because he lost. If he had won that night and also beaten Bama at least more than half of the times he played them after, I know for a fact based on some sources I have that he would still have the job today.

Kicking the shite out of Arkansas and Georgia using the same shite offense screwed the team for the BCSCG. They didn’t even get a 1st down in the first half vs UGA. Watching that Arkansas game, even with the burst at the end of the first half, was really concerning. JJ started to revert back to what we thought he was. We should have been blown out early against UGA but they shot themselves in the foot and our defense, ST's, and running game saved us there. But the SECCG should have been a HUGE red flag that Les ignored.

If he had tried something different and lost 28-0 or 35-0 it would have been better. you don't throw the ball with a future NFL QB and 2 future All pros WRS on the bench. Nude pictures be damned he should have thrown the damn ball

Are you serious?????? So you are ok with Miles doing the same things as the 1st game and expected to win???? Lets look at that 1st game.... The LSU punter was the MVP by leaving Bama in such crappy field position... The D was spectacular... The offense really didn't do much... THOSE are the adjustments I was talking about... To be fair the defense on 1/9/12 played well enough to win that game[even with Sabans adjustments]....

You're being to harsh on Ole Les.

LSU leading rusher and rushing attempts? JJ had 10 more attempts than our rbs, which was 5 attempts. He accounted for 52% of the rushes. Game plan was to run JJ. Brilliant

LSU had 1 pass play and 1 rushing play longer than 10 yards.

LSU had less than 20 rushing attempts by the 4th and a total of 17 pass plays in the game.

Complete abomination of a game plan.

That’s one thing I love about Will Wade. I guarantee you he isn’t waiting until a loss to make adjustments.

Les always had to wait until it was too late (if at all).

They grew to accustomed to the generous "fumble, scoop and score", "pick 6", "punt return", as did les to actually think about scheme, tempo or adjustments.

The lucky bounce of the ball is part of the game, but nothing to be counted on. I truly believe Miles kept waiting for that lucky bounce during the game. That's why he never adjusted. If you look back over the years, 05-11 he had more generous bounces than bad and he really thought he was going to get another.

This past year, during the "coaches show" or something like that. They had Miles, Mac Brown, chiz and few others. They asked miles how they game planned and more importantly, how did you game plan for Bama. Said, "we let Chief or Aranda handle the D. As far as Offense, we identified their Strengths and game planned to ATTACK that strength!" "bama is great at stopping the run so we wanted to ATTACK that strength and wait for them to bend or break". You could tell all coaches were dumbfounded. Thats all you need to know about his master game plan.

Jefferson wasn't going to win us the game that day

Not with the game plan he was asked to execute. All passes were horizontal near the line of scrimmage. Jefferson never had a chance. The game plan was a complete and utter failure, with no adjustments whatsoever.

What gameplan was going to win a game with 2 invompetent QBs and an OL who was getting their asses kicked?

So you agree with that game plan?

Did you agree with no adjustments?

Did you agree with keeping JL on bench?

The Game plan was garbage, blasted by Bama coaches, players and ESPN analyst. Hell, I think I remember Herbie even questioning the Game plan during broadcast, wondering why they haven't adjusted. No one is saying LSU would have won with a different Game Plan, its the lack of adjustments and creativity of the game plan. Try to keep up.

Pop warner coach could have come up with a better one.

jarrett Lee had excellent stats in 2011, with the highest QBR in the SEC. He was hardly incompetent. In fact, he was very good, but got in the doghouse after the 9-6 game and Les never gave him another chance.

why'd we even show up? Hard to believe we were 13-0 entering that game.
