If Les has always been a horrible coach, what does that make our current head coach??

Better, Much better. When we have problems he tries to fix them.

Yup. Should have been fired for cause the min this information came out.

LSU asked their attorneys to review the matter and the response that came back was that the alleged actions likely weren't enough to violate the terms of his contract. In other words, LSU had a weak argument to fire him for cause at that time.

He was a horrible coach to start with

At that point he was 85-21; Had brought LSU to 3 SECCG appearances, winning two. He has also brought LSU to two NC games, winning one.

This should have been a no-brainer.

Do you get to make ALL decisions in your life with the benefit of hindsight? So you belive firing a coach with THAT record, in June, 3 months before the start of the season which would have assured you ZERO shot of getting a top notch replacement until AFTER the 2013 season, at best, was a "no brainer"...in June of 2013?

The term "no brain" does come to mind.

Did you not watch the product on the field?

Did you not listen to him speak?

Did you ever wonder why we were playing in the 3rd and 4th quarter of real tight games against teams that were much weaker than us?

Let's use Jets Jefferson as an example. I can see him doing what he did in the NFL his 1st year after playing for Miles but not achieving 25% of what he did at LSU had Miles been here.

Miles had a good record Yes. But he was a shite show. He could take a team that was superior and win but when it came to Xs and Os and game-time decisions he was a clown.

Why play Jordan Jefferson in the 2nd half of the NCG when you only have 50 yards of offense at half-time? Lee had just won you 8 games that same season.

Why try and run the ball in that same game when it only took half of 1 quarter to see that was going to get you nowhere. Do you recall we had NOT ONE but 2 All-Pro Wrs on that team and an NFL QB?

It was a no-brainer because it would allow you to get around that buyout. It was the only way to get away from a coach that had tons of NFL talent but for the most part, could not win meaningful games.

I believe LSU had about a 5-year span where we had the most players in the NFL. Yet Miles is the only coach in the BCS era to play in an NCG with 2 losses. One of those was to an UNRANKED Arkansas AT HOME!

I believe if you threaten to ruin his reputation and bury him in legal fees you could have made him settle and he would have resigned. That is only speculation but if I would have been Miles I would have seen that as the best choice.

I would like the Louisiana Congress to open an investigation into this matter and hold people accountable.

Wrong Gov.

It is BJE as governor elect that told Alexander don’t pay coach Miles $20M and the come to me asking for more money in the 2016 legislative session.

Jindal was on his way, had no power left.

100% Correct.

Maybe because he was the best football coach in the history of LSU?
