I did not know this was even possible

My two main spots are where people dump trash. Flipping mattresses is prime. But periodically they clean up the areas, so my timing was off. Had to settle for a ribbon and a broad-banded water snake. Still the earliest in the year I’ve ever found snakes.

Very cool in situ! I went looking for canes in New Orleans East last week but came up empty.

When I first started hitting my creek for cottonmouths a few years ago, I ran across one at head height in a tree. Only saw him out of the corner of my eye as he dropped to the ground, about an arm’s length away.
Augie’s was a go-to spot for high school dances/proms, so I wouldn’t call it an old person restaurant.
No, but pre-1989 ACT tests are equivalent to IQ tests (before the format change). My ACT score qualifies me for MENSA and the Top One Percent Society… so somewhere in the 136-140 range. I’ve scored in the 160-170 range on online IQ tests, but those are worthless.

I remember his photo hanging in the gym lobby back in the day at Holy Cross.
RIP to a great TigerxTiger.

If paw prints are that big of a problem, you should probably just put a cloth cover over your truck

It’ll do more than put paw prints on the hood. My neighbor’s “adopted stray cat” used to spend its nights on the hood of my wife’s Jag a few years back, and it scratched tf out of the paint. As for the cat, a blow gun ran it off (I didn’t use pointed darts, just rounded blunt-tip plastic darts).

That look on his face with the blinds is fantastic

So we had left for a week in Costa Rica, and since he hates being boarded, we left him home and had a neighbor’s son come let him out and feed him a few times a day. I don’t think the kid came as much as he was supposed to (due to the poop in my house), so I think every time my dog heard a car he was trying to look for us through the window and couldn’t…so he just ate the blinds.

Right after we walked in I was taking a photo of his handiwork and he just walked over and sat there with that blinds-eating grin on his face.

And ready for action with his sex doll…

Kinda pissed one off on a West Texas snake trip this past summer. Didn’t realize the fence was there - thought it would just run away when we hopped out…

Not soon enough.

Wtf just happened, I just switched channels and we are down now.

LSU went cold. Zero FG in the final 5 minutes. And Kentucky got practically every offensive rebound.

but is was a bad look

Not if you look at it with a little common sense instead of just raw emotion.
Big Bang Theory - such horrible acting, cringey and not funny.

re: Great horned owls

Saw my first 2 barn owls in Florida & out west this year, then my first great horned owl in Arizona. Just got a glimpse of him on the road then flying away, but the guy with me is more into bird watching than herping and he was quick with the id.
761 snakes of 64 different species.
A banner year.
Thanks, 2025.
