This whole lame taunt has made me want a corndog now that its brought up all the time. A self-fulfilling taunt.

We are known as the fan base that loooooves food.. Maybe it was started by a corndog company.. free advertising

The taunt is that everything we eat is fried. So we all smell like fried food.. we all smell like corndogs. In theory.

I think it's funny how LSU fans have taken the joke and ran with it. Ex: the Saban head sucking a corndog during gameday today.

It doesn't offend me, and I rarely ate corndogs before but since this "offensive" joke started I do find myself saying yes to corndogs more often.

I've never had more than a bite of a corn dog even as a kid. Find them to be a culinary fail.

coonass was started as a slur. folks in Louisiana laughed and put it on t-shirts and bumper stickers.

It shouldn't bother you. It's just a silly nickname that has stuck just like Gumps and Bammers for Bama fans. They're all silly lighthearted names and it's more fun just to just play along.

Signed,

Bammer fan

Silly thing is the term was used in the 80's towards Nebraska players/fans. So not only is it lame, it's not even original. Whats worse than a lame insult? A lame insult you stole. Whats next... they start calling LSU fans "Gumps"?

Crazy thing is I've seen a thousand more corndogs while in New England than my time down here.

Not sure how we supposedly smell like corndogs when all you can smell is Whisky.

Just laugh at the Bama fans and tell them saying that nonsense makes them sound like Auburn fans.

It would be funny to make thousands of the NS deep throat corn dog buttons to wear for Bama games. Wonder what the gumps would think of that.

Can you even get corndogs at the stadium? The only thing I see at the concessions are sausage poboys, hotdogs, hamburgers and nachos.
