Short sighted dumb mother fricker. Maybe CPM should see if he can throw gausman Friday, Saturday and sunday. You know...go for the sweep. He is our best pitcher.

1) we did not lose game 1 due to pitching. They performed admirably. Scoring only 2 runs, albeit facing State's best pitcher and future #1 draft pick is what got us beat.
2) suggesting that our coaches should pitch Gausman on short rest is irresponsible. We all want to win, but not at the expense of putting players' pro futures at risk.
3) it's a double elimination tourney. Coach played out the pitching sequence exactly as he should have with a strategy to gt us deep into the tourney with fresh arms when we mould most need them.
Sometimes the best well made plans just don't work the way you draw it up. But the plan was well thought out. We lost because of not hitting against State and not closing effectively.

In lsu's history of being in regionals I would bet you not one time has our ace thrown in the opener. Why waste your top guy in a game vs someone like southern? Glad you aren't coaching baseball.

Your Arguement holds no water. KG had just thrown 2 complete games and was on 4 days of rest. It's amazing how how many armchair football coaches, qb's, catchers,pitching coaches,offensive coordinators that TD has.
