There is likely to be widespread power outages, including the Gainesville area. The projections below are from yesterday and based on a weaker system.

The effects are going to be so minimal the entire Florida peninsula is shutting down.

I've been out of the loop this week on news aside for headlines, but holy shite, it seems beyond idiotic to host a game in Gainsville and for LSU and fans from either school to travel to that area.

it benefits them if this game isn't played

This. They will have a tough chance of winning the East with this loss. They want a free bye week to get healthy. They are missing their entire starting line and we got horses ready to run.

I'm thinking that regardless of the weather, there will be many Gator fans who will have their hands full dealing with the aftermath where they live. Throw in the movement of traffic back into Florida and you have a recipe for a pathetic turnout for the game (assuming it can be played at all)... If the game is played, the Tigers will make sure they come to regret it..

Can you imagine how devastating it would be for the Miami area if it arcs around just like that red projection?

Is it assumed it would restrengthen before hitting next week?

That Angry Beaver dude ain't crazy. The last coach who agreed to move a game to Tiger Stadium never coached another game.

I'm no scientists, and I've only sat through a handful of hurricanes, but aren't they supposed to be wide?

Coaches don't make this decision.
