Money
Egos
Turnover(coaches)..lack of stability/continuity
Adaptability .. just because a coach does well w some players,
if he can not adapt, he will eventually fail.
Also, some can do a helluva selling job about their real abilities and the ADs fall for it.
...and some become enamoured with a SINGLE performance, and do not look at the WHY ..look at Jimbo.. GREAT while Winston was there.

I don't know where you got your info, but Bama fans could not care less about the RR/Saban point. We know theoretically that if RR had came here, we surely would not have Saban.
However, since it did not happen, it's pointless to fret over something that does not matter. We are quite happen and do not give RR a second thought now.

And then one of the best motivators (who happens to be one of us) at the top and you're complaining?

Exactly correct 100%. Some of these posters are clueless.......
Hiring a career dline coach to go up against the most talent rich division in cfb is clueless.

yet many LSU fans continue to believe that coaches line up to coach here. it simply isn't true.
Matt Canada said during the press conference that's exactly why he came here. When he was asked why, he said "because it's LSU." So are you saying he's not a great OC, or do you think he was lying?
I think I'll trust the words from the mouth of a great coach, who has that perspective, over yours.

The right hire is the best person for the job not the most popular , herman and other gods , is whom I am referring too ! I don't ever want to lose 48 to 51 ,with all the varibles you don't who the best team was , a win I take any time !

BBQ buddies > real coaches

because great coaches usually already have great jobs and aren't going anywhere. We have to get younger, successful coaches on the way up, rather than guys who are already at the top.
