McNeese has had a succesful program over the years and I think its a great thing LSU has given them this opportunity. If ULL and La Tech can play in Tiger Stadium then there is no reason McNeese can't. They can't all be BCS schools with the schedule we have.

I remember back in the old days LSU had Band Day where they would envite the High School bands in for pregame and halftime and have a battle of the bands during the week that lead up to the gametime. It happened during the week of Teacher conference week and the winners from that compition would play at the game it would be the winners from each classiffication. It gave all the bands a chance to play in Tiger Stadium in front of back then 75-85,000 people and now almost 100,000, an oppertunity that all those kids would never have the chance to have.
I would like to see that again, it was a colorful spectacle and an enjoyable one also. I wonder if they can do that again?
But yes I would like to see SouthEastern Lions from Hammond also.

Southern? Because we'd rather not have people bustin' shots in Tiger Stadium, that's why not Southern.

Not only do you spread in wealth in state, you give alot of kids from Louisiana who probably dreamed of playing in Tiger Stadium the chance to do so on Saturday night.

We're just spreading the wealth. Tulane complains about losing everytime, but yet when we drop them they start crying about how its some type of "rival" game. I hate to break it to the greenies, but Tulane can't rival anyone considering your ranked like 115/120. We give a bye to Tech and ULL since they normally get to take it.

A better question is why would you want LSU to play Southern? And what do you think the score would be? Southern can't even consistently win in its conference, which is the weakest football conference in the country.

We are going to kill whoever we play in state. The entertainment would be everything else associated with the game.

Let me put this in perspective.....
LSU thinks McNeese is a joke.....
McNeese thinks Southern is pretty much a joke.....
you do the math and try to comprehend how bad of a mauling it would be if LSU played Southern.

For the record, I think we all agree that the actual football game is not why we are playing any teams in-state.
All I'm saying is that I think Southern and Southeastern would be a better overall atmosphere.

Based on what? McNeese sells more tickets than any other fcs school in Louisiana and definitely better than fbs schools ULL, ULM and Tulane. The lsu game is sold out and McNeese athletic department sold all 6000 of their allotted tickets. And plus Southern and Southeastern just don't have the history of winning that McNeese does. With all of that said, we're still gonna get crushed and crushed badly...so it doesn't matter in the end.

McNeese has had a pretty good program there for a long time. This just happens to be a really down year for them.
