Since when is Washington a top 30 team?
you haven't been checking the polls when we played them

I don't think anyone's sold on UW being a top PAC 12 team this season, including ESPN. It was still a good "name program" win for LSU, but UW is not a behemoth right now. Hence, no media accolades for playing North Texas, UW and now Idaho in successive weeks.
If you want to get off the teat of ESPN and watch a better show than CFL, check out CBS Sports' inside college football.

Though the thread was silly , your explanation is lame.
LSU played UNT - a sunbelt team moving to cusa next year - 4-4 record in sunbelt 2011
USC played Hawaii - a mountain west team -3-4 record in MW 2011
LSU played a "name" Pac 12 team Washington - pretty much unranked in the final polls but made some noise couple years back against nebraska (and beat Hawaii and Syracuse when they last played them)- 5-4 PAC in 2011
USC played a "name" Big East team Syracuse - pretty much unranked in the final polls but played spoiler some years back - 1-6 in Big East in 2011
LOL at your lame attempts to explain why UW is not a behemoth and hence not getting accolades.
The right logical answer for the rant as everyone else pointed out is that LSU is a national contender every year and is expected to take care of everyone below the AP25 barring special circumstances.
USC is a big name brand in a big media city and gets love for that and hype for its heisman candidates because it is just eyeballs for the media and if they talk about it enough they can generate a push for a favored matchup at the end of the year.
To not know or comprehend that USC just played a similar schedule at this point is indeed lame.

Good post.
IMO, we lost a lot of respect on the national level with that putrid performance on 1/9/12. That game put our entire program in doubt. Prior to that we were getting major love from national sports media. And those guys don't like eating crow and they remember who made them eat it. In this case, it was our beloved Alma Mater.
And until we exorcise that demon (11/3/12), that's going to be the tale of this season: ie no respect from national media.

Washington is garbage and it was expected.

Each year is a reboot and the RAM is cleared. The hard drive is only for remembering the records. tOSU gets killed by Florida and then is shoved back the very next year.
Fans tend to have an emotional attachment when it comes to a divisional rival/title games etc.. The others realize that each year is different from the previous year.
No one in the media is targeting LSU or trying to put them down because of one game - especially not with a media friendly and congenial coach like Miles.

The no love comes from all the anchors and espns that think we are a fluke and that we are not that good...so they say oh well washington is going to expose the weaknesses of lsu since they have a great qb and the best they have seen in a while blah blah blah....but yet we blow them out and they say oooh well washington was not even good....seems like a trend when these supposedly "good" teams that will score 17-21 pts against us and we blow them out then they turn oh well not that good...makes me

Everyone in this thread sounds like a jealous girlfriend. Who fricking cares. If we take care of business, we'll be in Miami come January.

The fascination with ESPN and it's lack of 24 hour LSU coverage is insipid

not what the thread is about...you just have stated the obvious thanks

There are some good points, some tin foil theories and quite a bit of full blown retard in here. My opinion on why they aren't focusing on us has to do with this:
@UF
USC
@A&M
BAMA
MISS ST
OLE MISS
@ARKY
they're about to be talking about us a whole lot, especially if we win. There are alot of other programs that people want to hear about in this country

i took this thread as not that they werent talkin about us but how they were saying before the game that this was going to be maybe a trap game or a good game and then seeing it was a blowout still they dont give us credit....i agree there is a lot of teams that other people want to hear about and yea the next couple months they wont have a choice but to talk about us

To be fair to the OP ESPN covered the game quite a bit last week. They were promoting it as their prime time OOC matchup. Granted they spent a lot of time talking about how overmatched the game was.
LSU rolls proving the pundits right, and what does it really give them to talk about?

LSU piss-stomping a PAC-12 cream puff is not newsworthy.

This. And it's pathetic how people complain because they can't sit in front of their tv and get a chub from highlights of a game they already know the outcome, a game which lack anything spectacular and was between a inferior team and team with little importance.
Sportcenter covered the highlights on all 14 shows in a row the next day, CFL show the highlights on Monday and it was all over numerous websites. shite they even had a complete break down of it in the newspaper....what more do these idiots want???
Seems as they care more about what other people think then they actually do about their own team.

$3 billion tv contract for PAC 12 which involves ESPN. They're not going to "eat their own".
