Learn these names because will hear them alot.T.Jackson,RJF,Favorite,Pittman,C.Jones,D.Beckwith,C.Taylor.They will be the ones serving up the old testament arse whooping, you'll be recieving.Trust me they will make a disturbance in your backfield. And if he runs out of the pocket we have ppl that will put him in check.

I don't think LSU played against a quarterback last year that was even close to Edwards in terms of quickness, speed, and elusiveness
Brent Schaffer is faster, quicker and more elusive.

I think you have been drinking...

I like to use NFLDraftScout.com's 40 times because I think they're realistic. In the past I've found that they tend to be consistent with what players actually do at the NFL combine.
Brent Schaffer's "average" 40 time as reported by NFLDraftScout.com was 4.74 ( LINK ).
Armanti Edwards' is 4.49 (LINK ). That puts him in about the same area as West Virginia's Pat White, who's listed at 4.48 (LINK ).
Another guy mentioned earlier in this thread, LSU's Chad Jones, is listed at 4.55 (LINK ).
Just to throw one in since we all know he's maybe the fastest player in college football, Trindon Holiday is listed at 4.27 (LINK ).

he's gunna get pulled, prolly around the 3rd along with most of their other starters unless it's CLOSE
I think it's different since they beat Michigan son.

its rediculous to predict an injury specifically one on a guy thats faster than your entire D-line and linebackers. as long as he can avoid any cheap shots he'll make it just fine. we don't run too many plays that keep him staying behind the line of scrimmage with the ball for long anyway
The sad thing is we have a couple of linebackers that are faster than he is

*ETA: and he was caught by richmond a time or 2 in that video
And only rushed for 308 yards....

The BOOM video comes to mind. I can picture it now Chad Jones barreling around center and slamming Edwards several times.

I never said that anyone on this board wasn't showing class and I never really blamed anybody for saying they wanted him injured.

I think this thread is nothing but pointless. I'm not saying this as an APP and AE fan, but as a football person in general. There is absolutely no point to this thread. Do you people WANT him to get injured?? THat's ridiculous if you do. It's completely classless.

Sometimes I wonder if you guys are just smackin' or if you really believe some of the nonsense you type.
I can only remember 1 LSU projected linebacker starter's name, Darry Beckwith. NFL Draft Scout rates him at 4.59. That's a tenth of a second slower than Edwards...which is a pretty good bit in the 40.
Name some other LSU linebackers for me and we'll look them up. We'll see if we'll find at least "a couple" who are rated at better than 4.49. Beckwith is listed as an inside linebacker so maybe LSU's outside linebackers are somewhat faster. But let's look it up.
Yeah, I know people throw around 40 times all the time. Most of the time they're exaggerated. You get the real picture when players show up at the combine.
And, again, I've found that NFL Draft Scout site usually is pretty realistic and comparable to what they actually do.

I'm wondering: How fast did you guys think Ali Highsmith ran the 40 in before he ran 4.95 at the combine? I bet you guys would've been saying stuff like 4.4. 4.6 max.

I was going to say Edwards has wide receiver speed and decided to look up Demetrius Byrd and Brandon LaFell. NFL Draft Scout has Byrd rated at 4.49...same as Edwards...and LaFell rated at 4.54.
