Is it just nickel plated?

That's what it looks like

That finish does appear a little too good for a gun that old, though.

Every old gun I have has been messed up. I have a Marlin 1893 (.32 special) from 1904 that was blued in the 70's but I'm going to have it brought back to case hardened by a guy in Houston. I just have to get it there

I know someone that has a Colt SAA in .44 Russian / S&W Spec. They were made by Colt for the Russian Army in the early 1900s. Very few made and fewer survivors of it. .

I think the Russian is a slightly shorter case than the spec. Similar to the .357 and .38

I read that this one was 1870 to 19-15 and they made about 54,000 so that's a pretty significant number. I do see them for sale in original shape for around 1500 to 2k

If you read the post it says "9mm included for size comparison", so yeah, I just threw that in there to show the difference between the sizes. I don't think I'm going to shoot this thing though.

My Uncle just dropped off this revolver for me. I've never heard of a 44 Russian. I'm imagining that having it chromed hurts the value of it though. 9mm included for size comparison.

He went so far off the deep end with politics that he got crazy. Him and Stephen King. Both of them went nuts. I don't know about POS but they are both very hateful people. Full of hate for the right and conservatives
I tip my trash guys, Fedex driver, UPS driver and mail carrier. All of them go above and beyond for me. One made a special trip to my office because he knew I was expecting a rare watch that he had and I wasn't at home to sign

He asked you a question. That's hardly making stuff up about you.
Jocko is wildly respected by the men who served with him and under him. What are you going on about?

Thank you good sir! I appreciate the compliment. No He escape valve needed. And I bet 80% of the people here are thinking "That's a terribly ugly watch". We should school them up on COMEX a bit
