Thats like saying Lee had better stats than JJ in the first 9 games. He obviously did, bc JJ didnt play. After Bama1 same can be said for Lee.
They both played in the regular season. Jefferson posted better passing numbers. He also posted infinitely better rushing numbers. Moreover, the offense gained more yards per play when Jefferson was the starter. Those are facts.

hell, who knows. he might come back next year as the QB coach.. take Billy G's place on the coaching staff...
this would definately clarify a lot of things

He had 3 fumbles, and 2 ints, and one first down in the first half.

quote:he started 6 games. in at least 1/2 of those games he threw for less 100 yards. if you include BAMA1 where he played the majority of the game that makes 4 out of 7 games where he didn't pass for 100 yards... thats pretty bad for a qb.
However to make a blanket statement as you and many other people did that he played terrible all season is false.

Jefferson posted better passing numbers

In one of the games (ole miss) you are referring to he didnt throw an incompletion we went over 450 yards of offense. I dont think you want to use that one against him. The other 2 were terrible. I agree.
ETA How did this get turned into a JJ thread?

So, you trusted Miles when he went 8-0 with Lee. You kept that trend until we were 13-0. And not now? Your point again?

so give him Ole Miss and Arky... BAMA1 & 2, GA, WKY were bad...
this still holds though..

Fact is the Bama game started pretty much just like 3 of the 4 other games Jefferson started: NO OFFENSE. Difference is we didn't get special teams plays and short fields to turn things around. Anybody who was surprised that Jefferson was totally ineffective in the first half must not have been paying attention to the WKU, Arkansas, and UGA games.

. . . and LSU football fans better get used to it, because Saban and Bama will be around for a long time.

so will LSU and Les Miles....you know the guy Saban is 3-3 against. or are you making the prediction that LSU will never beat bama again as long as Saban is there....because i remembering hearing alot of that after 2009

Yes...all is lost.
This thread is full of Catastrophe Syndrome. It's like I'm back home on the bayou again.

I don't think that Jefferson was choking.
I agree. He was playing the way he usually played.
quote:
there were a lot of players on the offense who were not executing well in the first half. That doesn't mean that you yank them.
ok

the fact that one player is not executing well does not mean that his backup will execute better.
No, but it doesn't mean his backup won't execute better.

Jefferson had better passing numbers in the regular season.
Utter, hopeless denial on your part.
quote:
Jefferson had infinitely better rushing numbers.
We have a stable of fantastic RBs. Let them rush the ball.
quote:
The offense performed better when Jefferson was the QB in the regular season.
I honestly don't know how to respond with this. I just did a massive bug-eyed headshake right here in my office.
quote:
Jefferson plays much better against Alabama than Lee.
He played like complete shite the entire night, regardless of what he or you say.
You seem to think Les had a fantastic game plan and did a good job of calling the game. I don't think even Les himself thinks that now. At least thats what I keep praying to God about. There is no defending that game or Les' handling of it. None.
