I can’t tell if you really do not understand this or if you just can’t admit you are wrong

The sample sizes are small, that’s true, but they are also consistent. His ERA in every extended outing as a reliever is better than every extended outing as a starter. His 2 worst appearances since the start of conference play were in 2 of his 3 starts. Maybe it’s entirely coincidence or maybe a change in mentality/approach as a starter impacted his efficiency and effectiveness. Jay Johnson obviously had the same thought process in sending Evans back to a bullpen role.

All of that is probably moot at this point given the unreliability of every other arm besides Anderson and Eyanson. LSU needs Evans both as the stopper out of the pen and as the 3rd starter. Given they may not need a 3rd starter in the Super Regional, I think they have to have Evans ready to close out the first two games if the games are close. If they end up not using him in the first two games and it goes 3, then he should start Game 3. In the CWS, they are more likely to need him to eat up innings, so they probably won’t have the luxury to use him to close. There he’s more likely to fill a 3rd starter role.
