Saban didn't fully build the 2007 national championship season. Lol he didn't coach them that season. He didn't spend the off-season with them.

Whats really laughable is that every single player on that 2007 team had spent more time with Miles than they did with Saban.

You have to realize that youre conversing with a person that thinks
16 overall losses and 12 conf losses in a 5 year stretch is a top 5 program yet 15 overall losses and 12 sec losses is considered destroying the program.

Oh the irony. You attribute most of Miles success to Saban yet dont do the same things with Saban's tenure.

Its an ignorant opinion. Its amazing how many posters on here really think Miles doesnt know football.

Miles took a shite OSU program and had them bringing in top 25 classes and 3 straight winning seasons when they had 1 winning season from 1986-2000.

Uh. Im stating facts.
2006,2007,2011,& 2013 are some of the most productive offenses in lsu history.
Thats not my opinion.

Miles teams were very talented, but rarely smart or prepared

So just like Saban's tenure? We had huge amounts of penalties under Saban.
Every year of his tenure Saban lost to and inferior opponent.
quote:

Most of miles teams were good but still underachieved on the field, even the 2007 team lost to 2 inferior opponents. That is fact.

Holy shite.
He has the best tenure ever at a top 10 alltime program. That doesnt happen if most of your teams underachieved.
My god. I have never seen a fan base more willing to shite on its own accomplishments ,like lsu fans.

He coached for 11+ years Saban for 5. He inherited one of the most talented college rosters in history Saban inherited a 3-8 team and the worst offensive line in school history. So yea there were some growing pains we had to build the program from the ground up. He won the sec in his second season and a natty in his 4th he went 4-2 against top 5 teams in the 8 years since miles first recruiting class arrived at lsu he has 2 11 win seasons 1 sec title zero Nattys and has gone 7-8 vs top 5 teams. Miles is the only coach to be shutout in a national title game and if his star qb wouldn't have boot stomped a kid who was already on the ground and got suspended we would've had 4 losses in 2011. So you can keep your empty stats and Elmer Fudd coach. I'd rather titles and a team who can compete at an elite level.

Jesus, why post this question. He was fired!! He is getting plenty from LSU in the form of cash. The Tigers (not his Tigers) would have to overcome the two losses he birthed to get there. It would take a miracle and, if it occurred, he should be sued for negligence and malfeasance.

All he should get is just a kick square in the arse for those two losses and getting LF 7 hurt in asinine practices.

The roster Saban went 9-3 with?
Sounds similar to one that almost got an LSU coach fired

Hey, I get it. You don't Like Miles. Some people don't, some people do. Truth be told, I didn't like Saban when he was here, I supported him as the head coach, but I didn't like the way he would throw hissy fits on the sideline directed at the players. If someone deserves an arse chewing, do it in the locker room. I also use to hear about how he treated people like crap during day to day operations. I don't believe in acting that way. Treat people the way you would like to be treated, that's the way I was raised. That the thing I liked most about Miles, is how he treated the players, media, and fans. he represented the University and the State very well.

Most of the threads that are started about Miles are by posters that want to bad mouth him and belittle his accomplishments as the head coach. So of course there will be people that post to defend him, myself included. That doesn't mean anybody idolizes him, I know I don't. I stopped idolizing sports figures many moons ago.

I say yes.

I also say I think he should. It's not like he didn't have a hand in what's on the field. This is coming from someone who is no fan of CLM or his overall philosophy (not just offensive philosophy- run the freaking score up with the b/up QB and get game-situation practice for fuks sake type philosophy; not a fan of "nice guy" in an uber competitive high-$ arena. I call those people "targets" or "marks").

And it's not like he left us, on Christmas day.

2007 was not prepared by Saban and not even all the players were recruited by him or all of his coaches?

Saban built the program from the Dinardo ash heap. He provided the majority of the players on the team.
Oh I know, back then the LSU name did the recruiting.
Didn't Flynn give Jimbo credit for his success?

If we win out, wonder who the players will give the credit. Cam and Miles or Orgeron and Emsminger?

That 9-3 team had Marcus randall as qb but the roster miles inherited had the no1 nfl draft pick the no3 nfl draft pick the no 5 nfl draft pick the no6 nfl draft pick multiple other first rounders other round picks that were all pro and pro bowlers. There's only been 1 other team in college fb history with that many top 10 picks and that team didn't have the no1 pick. But you're really smart and know a lot about college and lsu football so.

If all that is true, why did Saban frick it up so bad? Keep making excuses for your boy.

There's no question Saban is the better coach, but you look like a damn fool in this thread. You really should just stop.
