But please do humor me on where we are weak at any D position going into this year.
Your secondary may have a couple of decent players, but overall, I would consider this a weak spot.

I hope their entire 1st team is suspended.

Can you explain why you would consider this a weak spot? A secondary that was among the nation leaders in intereceptions with 21, that lost only one player. That sure seems like a strength to me.
Not that I would consider CFN the greatest source, but if they rank that unit as 5th best in the nation, at minimum that means it is not a weakness. LINK
Luckily you have JJ throwing the ball, so even if Oregon had a weak secondary I wouldn't be that concerned.

Ok beardedzeus, I think I know my team well. Please do humor me and tell me on our Defense one position that we are weak at this year besides MLB assuming our #1 cannot play for this game?
I'm not claiming to be an Oregon expert. I just find it a little unlikely that Oregon's defense has no weaknesses. Teams went for over 500 yds against Oregon 4 times last season (519 yds to Auburn in a game that Auburn looked flat in, 597 yds vs Zona St, 518 yds vs Stanford, 506 yds to Arizona). Combine that with the fact that you had 1 win against a Top 25 opponent and I find it hard to believe that this defense isn't weak somewhere. Your offensive pace concerns me as a LSU fan but your defense does not.

I more accurate reflection is looking at Yard Per Play. Oregon's Defense averaged close to 40 mins on the field per game so of course they gave up more yards because they were out there more due to the fast scoring pace of the O. Oregon was a national leader in YPP.

Explain why it is a weak spot? Because they have several players there who have demonstrated they can play? Or just because they lost Cliff it is now a weak spot?

Yeah, three returning starters in Gildon, Boyett, Pleasant and some excellent talent in the wings that goes 3 deep at every spot. Avery Patterson and Brian Jackson made waves on special teams. Grady featured in our rotation the entire year. Mitchell and Hill look better. Let them believe what they want.

No way anyone from Oregon gets suspended before the first game. Even the QB is most likely going to be cleared accoring to one of the big Oregon beat writers that was on After Further Review yesterday.
On another note, saw in the recent issue of Sports Illustrated that they are calling the LSU vs. UO game the "Willie Lyles Bowl"....pretty damn good humor on SI's part.

I would watch out - Rummel is not in a good mood and as we approach gameday, thing will get controlled tighter.

I'm honestly more afraid of our offense than I am of your defense.
I don't claim to know a ton of information on Oregon's D, but I still guarantee we have played much tougher, more talented defenses in our regular season alone.
I've seen JJ do some great stuff against those Ds, but at the same time I've seen him do horrible things against weak ones.
Therefore, I'm not at all scared of you. I'm scared of which LSU offense shows up.

Fair enough. I think we do well against the pass because of our length in the front 7 and we have ball hawking secondary. The length in the front bats down a lot of passes. JJ 's mechanics will have to stay steady.

NCAA is a little too preoccupied at the moment, maybe later in the season or after.

Why wouldn't he play. He hasn't been accused of anything?

There are no eligibility concerns.

Only if they let Oregon's quarterback get in another car.
