I was shocked that he pulled Kirn at 82 pitches. I really thought he would go 7 innings 110 pitches like Kade. Then in a close game still why didn’t he throw his best reliever? He knew they can hit the ball and would still be in the game! Just crazy to me he didn’t try to win game one and unless he conceded to Kade!

Only thing I can think of is he was trying to beat the analytics to gain some advantage.
Either that or he was hoping LSU would burn some arms and get them to today. Over thinking instead of just playing to win.

Their entire pitching staff team ERA is 4.35 and their bullpen ERA is 12.55 after they started the season 39-7. Hopefully LSU will get to their bullpen fast.
