You can argue that all day. The game was pretty close. Bama did give up in the end. But they would give UF a good game again. I would pick Bama to win if they played today.

But we were lucky to win at MSU for Petes sake, and were hanging our hat on a GA team that is 3-3.
So close to being oh for 3 in the SEC and facing a resurgent AU, a VERY good Bama team, and a decent Ole Miss.
5 Losses this year and barring any improvement in this year, 4 losses, is disturbing.

Probably several teams if UF played with a less than 100% Tebow, a UF offense that ran the SAME dive play over, and over, and over, and over again, and they used a simple reduced game plan to protect Tebow.
UF simply wanted the W and much like when they played UT, it was assured early on when their opponent no longer played for a W, but instead to "not get blown out". They really took this coaching staff's heart. Imagine how UF must feel after executing a game plan that after half time, their opponent gave up on victory. That is why the loss hurt me so much. We concede the game. BTW, UF just ran that dive play AGAIN and gained ANOTHER 12 yards.

DD, bama isn't what people think they are...
Remember we almost beat them last year with as many ints as we threw and our game w/UF last year wasn't close.... Bama isn't the team people think they are, if they make it to the sec champ game, U F wins again... I'll take anyones money who says otherwise

S.Carolina put up 37. Arky put up 41. And UT put up 45. We managed a measly 20 points and look pretty good doing it. That says something. Our best offensive game came against a pretty terrible SEC defense.

You're assessing Bama's team this year based on the fact that we almost beat them last year?

By what standards? Defensively they're better than last year IMO. They probably are as good as LSU on defense.
With all things equal...If Bama plays UF at home Bama wins. Plain and simple. They could have held UF to 13 points like we did. And they probably score more than 3 points.

Ok..Ill get in this one.
I think we should be in a position to go undefeated every year.
You know, when its a dogfight, and theres blood and arse and eyeballs flying all over the field, and you pull all the stops and and JUST come up short, like the 7 - 3 loss at Auburn, Ill take the loss and be proud of the effort.
BUT, when it appears that Corky from whatever the hell that show was is calling the plays, when there is absolutely no discipline from either side of the line, when the overall performance for the most part is lackluster and predictable, then Hell no, unsatisfactory.
Bottom line? I am purple and gold through and through. But being Floridas bitch for the last 2 years when 2 plays...just 2 plays could have changed the face of the game, yet we continued with the old Chuck up the middle, option right, oops, 3rd and 9 what are we gonna do now routine.

Chuck up the middle gave us really favorable down and distance on second down quite a few times. We screwed it up from there however, but given the lack of a real QB.....it is the best thing we got.

How can a team that recruits in the top 10 and higher each year have an offense that ranks 109th or lower in the nation. Its the responsibility of the coaches to coach the players, develop their talent, utilize them properly and bench them if they dont perform. The problem with our teams lies squarely on the coaches soldiers
