Well, I know their website address. But all I see our options to 'contact a representative' or a 'office near you' ..
I'm not familiar with the company or their service. And I'm thinking of e-filing as how one would do it on a site like TaxSlayer.
What's the entire process going through them?

can't you just file, then amend later?

Yes I can, but it's not free and I'd rather not have to if I don't need to.
I'm still curious as to HOW you did everything.

That's really very broad.
You said you e-filed through Jackson Hewitt. Care to explain how you did it through them, etc?
As I said, their website is geared towards contacting a local rep/store.

the cheapest NON rip off online LINK
Alot of the other charge you to use a bank to get your refund and nickle and dime you to 50-60 bucks. Under 20 with state included at TaxAct.com
You can try it and when you get through the homeowners credit part pay for an upgrade.

I'm VERY happy with TaxSlayer, it's very user friendly and I believe it's also under $20 - it's just the homeowner's credit part that is playing tricks (i.e. not letting you enter in a "future date" for the purchase date).

I saw my guy in person...
paid around 140, but he got me back the most I could get back and took care of the home buyer credit afterwards.

Where is he located?

I'm still wrapping my head around this whole thing, but it seems like if this 15k passes I would be stupid not to buy a house in 2009. What am I missing and what are the negatives?

Does anyone know if this will apply to new construction? I'm guessing it will as I haven't seen anything that said it wouldn't.
