It has to be at an alarming rate or it falls apart at this stage. Eventually you can't continue dilute and take on debt forever.

You don't want to be holding then

I think Saylor’s entire thesis is that you can do exactly that if you’re issuing debt that’s denominated in a deteriorating currency and exchanging it for a stronger form of money.

Except the number has to get bigger and bigger and bigger.. Eventually the math makes it impossible, there just isn't that much money in the economy to support it. Once the music stops they have to sell to keep the lights on. Then it looks like a death spiral.

You are assuming Bitcoin is not adapted by nation states and fortune 500 companies, correct?

I think that is the fundamental disagreement here.

Also, the bond market is trillions and trillions of dollars looking for a home. he can do this for a long long long time.

No.

The guy is already raising up to 42 billion dollars to purchase Bitcoin. The amount of dilution and debt to take on had to be paid by someone in the equity markets. The number has to go up forever, and at an exponential rate. The math is impossible. Even if the price of Bitcoin continues to rise.

For the crowd that's says DYOR, I literally provided the explanation in the video why it doesn't work. But nobody watches it.

At this point I tried to help, but if you think Bitcoin continues to go up. Then buy and hold Bitcoin. Microstrategy won't be able to continue even if it does.

I don't disagree really. I just enjoy the conversation as this is a completely new financial strategy.

I don't see it being much different than how McDonalds built their empire with real estate. 75% of Mcdonalds value is the real estate!

Its obvious that MSTR's strategy works incredibly well in a world where bitcoin continues to go up. Otherwise, you have what happened to them in 2021-2022 where their stock price crashed ~80% as bitcoin crashed ~80%. Saylor's sole goal is to maximize bitcoin per share. In a bull market like we are in right now, his strategy works. I'm sure when this cycle is over, MSTR will crash again. However it will be right back leading the charge when bitcoin starts the next cycle. Depends on when you think this bitcoin bull run ends
