Heavily shorted... I bought in the first week of May @ $18 and today its up to $34.60
They had some lending issues they seem to have worked out. Stock hit nearly $400 during the pandemic
Not sure anyone expects it to ever get back up that high.
Wondering if anyone sees this one riding up for a while?

You have turned a nice profit, and I would be tempted to go ahead and take it.
Business seems extremely risky in rising interest rate environment. Fintech where the majority of my profit comes from originating loans, where I use my own proprietary way of determining credit worthy borrowers. I know that algo for them picking the right borrowers is supposedly their business, but no one seems to want to pay for that service.

Know quite a bit about them
They are putting a lot of their eggs in basket I do not believe they will succeed in.
It wont be the same company and business model that got to 400 previously

Toke a big loss for tax purposes last year . I had bought at around 100. Bought back in about month ago @ 18. Sure is nice watching it go up everyday instead of down like last year. My stop loss is in place not getting caught not looking this time.

It's a horrendous company, unprofitable and ultimately a zero.
That said, they will ride the beta wave upwards like they have this year along with many other unprofitable companies a la 2021

They only went to $400 because they’re a low float trash name whose entire supply was locked up and bud higher thru a gamma squeeze. Not saying it’s a bad long but don’t equate think it’s worth that either.

I was an early investor in Upstart before they went with institutional investors only. Averaged 6.10% annually on my investment. I liked the concept and figured it would be an interesting experiment.

I was working on a 200 percent gain on UPST when it tanked. I lost my shorts on it. I’m done with UPST.
