I don't remember.. I just remember Peter's dumbass saying "we're gonna have to put out some aggressive projections with the way things are going".. Then releases guidance that was significantly less than analyst estimates, and blames omicron

Now it looks like Sun's patent infringement case will actually go to trial and drag out another two years..

Can't wait to see what the quarterly numbers look like

and this all came about because AUPH sued Sun for trying to horn in on their non-existent dry eye market? Now Sun is sitting there holding a PTAB finding that they have a "reasonably strong" argument that Auph's '036 patent (the good one) is also not valid

no worries.. they just filed for an extension on the composition of matter patent and should hear something back before July 26, 2023. Might need to lean on 'em a bit though because that patent EXPIRES IN OCTOBER OF THIS YEAR

Man them bags must be pretty heavy on this one.
You just got to walk away I have a few dumpster fire stocks as well but at this point nothing left to do but let them sit.

As I continue to follow this, it feels like AUPH grossly overestimated peoples willingness to pay more for a better product

If your doctor came to you and said I can give you this old school shitty treatment for $2700, and it will reduce your pain from 100 to 50.. OR you can take Lupkynis, which costs $80k, and will take your pain from 100 to 10....

You don't think most people would be weighing the pros and cons of that kind of cost as we barrel into a recession?

They overpriced it on purpose to create this "standard of care" narrative, and so far it has backfired

That's an oversimplification of the cost and differences in treatment here but we definitely arent knocking it out of the park it seems

Highly doubt that. When he brought AUPH to the MB attention, AUPH was trading around 3.5-5. I'd assume majority of us picked up a good basis at that price, so the only bag holding I am doing are on unrealized gains - which is a bit painful.

Leadership has been atrocious, botched a handful of positive news and then PG has been horrible on these calls with some of the things he's said. With all that said, I will start worrying when the institutional holders start liquidating or releasing statements about the company.

I wonder if it’s a good time to get out. This is dead money pending material change on the patent challenge.

If we get up over $10 and hold I might liquidate a part of my initial investment. Mainly as protection over the bottom falling out if the patent is actually contested, shouldn’t be but it could.

That earnings call was pretty bad... yet they're up 15%

I guess anything better than "we completely fricked up again -- also we're doing another offering" is all the street was looking for
