If you were considering buying more or re entering, the CBO just increased his position by 50 percent, buying 30,000 shares on the open market earlier this week, following Aurinia's public patent defense.
The ~154k purchase represents about 1/3 of the CBO's salary.

Just before the biggest conference in pharma…
Please get sold. $18-24

I think Greenleaf underpromised for Q4 and full 2023 guidance.
It was really strange that he gave ‘23 guidance on the Q3 call, but waited until Q1 of ‘22 to give 2022 guidance.
I think they did well with sells even with Thanksgiving and Christmas.

I am not sure what ultimately stalled the Fall 2021 BO but the patent litigation had to play a role, hopefully, 2023 is the year of buy out.

I believe Peter then enjoyed getting options at $12.01 and was caught off guard by the patent challenge, which brought us down to $6-7.
I think he was fine all along with poor sales, thinking he could get $30 in a buy out.
But poor sales and poor guidance on top of the litigation cloud and bad overall market sent us sub $5. I can guarantee you that that was ever the plan
One thing that makes me confident in this theory was Neil Solomons selling above thirty then leaving the company a few months later. I think he still has some options to exercise that expire shortly…
Also keep in mind the 63 million dollar investment made a couple months back. You think they didn’t know something?

I'm glad some Auphtomism has returned to the thread.
Hopefully we see some buyout rumors soon. Anyone know how sales have been? i checked the ole stocktwits but didn't see much of anything.

According to Bloomberg it's been a good quarter, which is outstanding given the major holidays.

Am I reading this right? we're only expecting 30-40% sales growth next year? is that gonna turn out to be a good thing? or is that as weak as that seems to me?
would only put us at like 160-170 million compared to the 134 we're gonna be at this year....

“Given strong commercial execution in the fourth quarter, we demonstrated substantial growth in our key metrics for LUPKYNIS, including an increased total number of patients on therapy and an uptick in patient start forms in the back half of the fourth quarter, compared to the monthly average in the third quarter of 2022,” said Peter Greenleaf, President and Chief Executive Officer of Aurinia. “Given this progress, we believe we have achieved our 2022 full year net product revenue guidance and are positioned to achieve our net revenue guidance from product sales for 2023 in the range of $120-$140 million.”

Yeah I’m a bit turned around on the positivity. I focused more on the script and PSFs vs top line revenue because the long term value is in scripts. Which is likely why Peter decided to go on his own vs sell/license a drug. Strategy is making a little more sense as we’ve moved on but the script #s haven’t been as dramatic as anticipated, likely due to unknown company vs giant pharma.
That said, I hope they calm the R&D for a few quarters to slow the cash burn. Last thing we all want to wake up to is another $150m cash raise.
