Title covers it pretty well. Any other programs besides QuickBooks we should look at?

QuickBooks is the most recommended for a lot of reasons, but if you are looking for other options what type of business? Professional service, food service, retail, manufacturing...

I have been using Quickbooks Online for my business. The operational side such as invoicing and payables is a solid format but the reporting function leaves something to be desired. For a non-accountant, this can help prevent a lot of errors and it does help one manage their business effectively. For the reporting limitations I just prepare reports in excel from TBs.
Also, you can provide a login for your accountant/CPA if you are paying for such professional services.
Another small thing I don't like is how it constantly pushes another service they offer that I can pay for.
I'm a CPA who doesn't practice accounting anymore so I have used plenty of accounting software over the years and find the online version very useful for the money.
Very good "Bang For The Buck".

Quickbooks Online is what I recommend to clients.
Easy interface and support, easy access for CPAs/outsourced accounting team, also has a lot of integrated platforms if you ever have an operations arm that works in their own system.
Reporting can be customized and autogenerated to be emailed at certain intervals that I set up for a lot of companies.
