Right, and like scammy crypto projects those were attempts to use fraud to get dollars. That doesn't contradict anything I said.

Okay, my point was that it doesn’t matter the medium or circumstances. Scams happen everywhere and just as frequently outside of crypto spaces.

They’re currencies not securities. I just bought a coke at a vending machine with my Coinbase debit card via my crypto. Don’t think i can do that with my Tesla stock.

However I do find it funny, that a lot of people still tell me I just don't understand it.

It would be hard for you and Elon to talk about Rockets, well, because you dont understand them. However, people like you know what a rocket is and how they work at a very basic level and think well, we can talk about this; but you cant...

Sure, its personal for someone to tell you that you dont understand, but its true. Damn near every time you post its wrong on how things "actually" work.

I don’t know anything about this, so this is purely a question. Did that transaction reduce your crypto balance by the amount paid for the Coke, or just your account balance?

I’m just curious because I can buy things with my brokerage debit cards, but the transaction isn’t linked to any particular asset held in the account. Does that make sense?

Feel free to correct my posts then. And explain to me where I'm wrong

It uses whichever crypto it’s linked to and reduces that by $1.50. It transfers the crypto to usd and deposits that into the machines acct.

I have it linked to Chainlink now for the rewards, so it just lowered my Chainlink tokens by 0.20 or whatever equals the $1.50.

So yes , with crypto you’re using the actual asset for the purchase not just what’s in your dollar acct per day.

How is that different from using a brokerage debit card tied to your Tesla stock?

It’s not. It’s a dumb point.
