Credit Report experts: how to get a collection off a report?

I have this zombie collection that keeps popping up my credit report and when it does it dumps my score like 80 points. It showed up again recently and I need my score high in the next few months for some things.
Jefferson Capital picked it up again and placed it on my report.
This is DIRECTLY from their mailer to me about it..
And yet, they did it again (like the third time in 3 years).
How do I get this off immediately? Can I just call and threaten an FCRA reporting? Have an attorney call?
Any advice is helpful, thanks!

The law limits how long you can be sued on a debt. Because of the age of your debt, Jefferson Capital Systems, LLC cannot sue you for it and cannot report or continue to report it to the credit reporting agencies.

I would call and tell them they are impacting your credit and borrowing. Ask them to remove it or you will have to sue them.
Then have them provide something to you in writing.

dispute the collection with the agency reporting it. This should take care of the credit score issue and then force them to show that its a valid collection

I keep having some dudes cox cable collections added to my reports every few years. Same amount, $295. Each time I dispute it, credit bureaus first leave it and say it’s legit but then take it off. It sucks but just have time it right.

I have some other dude's address on mine. We have the same legal name but live 3 hours apart.
I also have my oldest account listed as 1986. I was 8 years old though. I'm not sure if they fat fingered my oldest account (1996) or if it's from this other guy. Nothing negative so I've never bothered trying to correct it.
