Current price is below the airdrop income tax breakeven point for some of the big holders. That would be a tough pill to swalllow - to make 10x on your money but owe more in taxes than you actually made.

At first I thought he was trolling, but when some new guy signed up as Derek S I figured it was legit.

These people have no shame.

The fact that a bunch of people invested in a charity and are shocked that they’re going to get back less than they put in is ridiculous. Their money got donated to a bunch of high schools and they can’t figure out why there is less in the bucket now.

It's down over 25% in the last 24 hours, back to about the GME price on Oct 10th, and they're begging people to throw new money in to stop the bleeding, that's a big ole SELL flag for me.

What are the odds they pause trading and claim "hack"/"attack"/"irregularities" again?

To be honest, every coin has people in telegram that say this when price drops. Or people that say they are adding to their bags at x price.

Spoke to a friend earlier today who bought in with $2000. He was really excited watching it grow to $1,000,000. It has now gone down to $200,000 and he is getting frazzled and considering selling at a “loss” (his words)

He told me that a bunch of people bought in with relatively small initial investments that ballooned to astronomical profits. 100x plus is many circumstances.

I have a hard time grasping how this is sustainable. Those are extreme profits coming from thin air it seems.

Your friend probably owes more than $200k in taxes on his airdropped GMEX.

Based on the irs document that was posted, it appears that when an air drop of coins is done, it is basically treated as a gift at current market value or the value when it appears on the market.

For example, I air drop 1 coin to you and its value is $1,you owe taxes on that dollar, regardless of your entry price in the previous coin.

If a fork is done, you are taxed when you sell as any other coin transaction.

GME to gmex was an air drop, not fork.

Sounds stupid in principle, but that's what it reads. I suppose you may be able to offset some of the gain with a loss in value of the original coin assuming your entry price is higher than current price

Is .008 a decent entry point or is the next leg down to .005 likely?

I started getting texts about this on 11/8. That’s pretty much when I could have told everyone it was time to get out. If news of a good thing reaches me the run is certainly over.

If it had stayed at only down 20% that may have been stable compared to the 50+% it’s down in the last five days since your post 11 hours ago. Ouch!
