Flop most certainly did not post any of this BS on any other site. Please get your facts straight b/f posting TigerDog!!! I don't have access to any of that information. I have apparently struck a nerve w/ several of you. I do apologize for getting everyone so fired up. However, I repeat, things are happening in that area and you should not be so quick to show your ingnorance. I will get you the information as soon as I can confirm.

Well the post was almost exactly the same as yours here, sorry if it wasn't you although it gave clues that it was. Sorry you feel we are "showing our ignorance" but you certainly haven't provided anything credible to this point. Until you do I'll go with the evidence that shows most people in the industry there is no Haynesville shale present in North Bossier parish.
Posted on 7/20/08 at 1:20 pm to TigerDog83
I agree, but the key word you used was MOST!!! Millions of dollars have been made on the outer limits of shale formations.

Well that still cannot explain the dry hole Samson drilled in Township 21N last year, or the J-W #1 Rumbaugh well that had a very, very thin section of shale. I don't think it is a coincidence that CHK told us directly last week they aren't the least bit interested in anything in North Bossier parish.
Posted on 7/20/08 at 1:30 pm to TigerDog83
CHK is not at this moment, but they will be in the near future.

Once again, you provide nothing credible. No evidence to support any of your assertions. Until you do provide some evidence nobody will be able to give your statements any credence. Good luck to you.

Once again, I will soon!!!

Tigerdog and pittboss, as in earlier posts i received thoughts and answers as why you said no shale and no interest. I accept your reasoning and I guess I agree with it,(thank you) but you both also said that lease amounts would never exceed 250-500 dollars an acre. If you would like i can as of this day give you phone numbers where lease offers in the 2000dollar range now exist! Something is up, up there, but I have no idea what.

Thanks Acadiana! I appreciate your input. I have been made out as an idiot the past couple of days. As I initially said, more will come out this week and more will follow from there.

What township and range where the 2000 offers in? who was the company? that will explain the offers.
Posted on 7/20/08 at 3:11 pm to pittboss33
Pittboss you know who I am and where I am up there. As far as the company I don't know, but the land owners reviewing the offers, I do know! I was asked if this would be a number that I would accept. I'm not disputing you and tigerdogs assertion that there is no shale. I believe what you say is correct. However the new activity is real and is happening now. I heard that thumper trucks, where running seizmick on the arkansa line, north in the river bottom, what do you know of this?
Posted on 7/20/08 at 3:33 pm to acadiana
I meant where were the offers at (township and range). I have heard nothing about seismic activity up there.
Posted on 7/20/08 at 3:39 pm to pittboss33
South and east of whatever my section is, sorry I can't be more specific as I don't have what my numbers are memorized.

I've heard offers of $5500 to $6000 per acre for the Lakewood subdivision (this is north of I-220 and south of Benton). This comes from a HOA meeting they had with Red River Leasing, so I'm guessing its legit.

I live in Lakewood subdivision, I know that's legit. The land we're talking about is in North Bossier Parish on the Arkansas line.

That's awesome. I live in Rosedale myself. Not that I'll be rich off of my 0.17 of an acre, but I certainly won't frown on several hundred dollars.
Have you heard any talk of trying to pool Lakewood with Rosedale, Bayou Bend, and Cross Creek?

I haven't heard that but it's a good idea. The more acreage, the better. I'm sure there are hundreds of acres here in Lakewood.
Posted on 7/21/08 at 1:59 pm to pittboss33
Rosedale of course wouldn't have as much acreage, but I've heard it mentioned by a few in the neighborhood. Do you know what kind of timeframe Lakewood is looking at as far as signing a lease?
Posted on 7/22/08 at 7:35 pm to LSU0358
Everybody sure is quite on this subject!!!! You hearing things yet??
Posted on 7/22/08 at 7:50 pm to Flop
