But, but, gold and silver are inflation hedges and preservation of wealth.
Biggest scam going in the financial world.

No offense, but since he mentioned that this was his emergency fund, I don’t think that it would be prudent to place any of it in (even the best) equities. It’s just too likely that your emergency might be the very thing that causes the equity investment to tank… right when you need it most.

That's the variable piece. The fixed piece is 0.00%. Just to clarify. They could raise the fixed piece theoretically.

The play now may actually be TIPS. You’ve recently been able to lock in a real yield of 2% above inflation.

You have to be an absolute fool to own gold except for enough coins and physical gold to barter with if shite hits the fan.
And that is if people still desire for gold in the post apocalyptic world.
Some people may shun gold thinking it was stolen or taken from the dead in the radioactive fallout zones. So your physical gold could be just as worthless as paper.

also look at LUMN
I hope he didn’t do this back in September!
With it taking its lumps since they announced eliminating the dividend, is anyone buying now, or do you think they’re going to see continued headwinds before things settle?
I dipped a few toes in today, so it’s bound to drop a lot more.
