Perhaps, but it’s really an intro into options. Some people like to learn new things, especially when it comes to ‘new’ ways to make money. And selling option premium is one of the only sure ways to make money in this environment.

You asked 2 months ago on two different occasions what you should be investing in, everybody said index funds or etfs. That answer will never change.

Since the OP already claims to own some equities that are very high beta, I don’t see that the relatively conservative options strategy that you mentioned is out of place.
