THANK YOU! I contacted those guys after reading your thread and got a second $500K / 20 yr. term for $350/yr. That's about 1/2 of what my current policy costs.

Thanks for the heads up!!!!

No problem...I'm getting ready to set mine up . I've decided I'm going to go with a zander recommendation for sure.

If you are a practicing catholic, try the Knights of Columbus insurance. They have some of the best rates anywhere.

In this case "practicing Catholic" means "willing to write a check to KC." The ironic thing is 90% of those guys are retired and probably don't need life insurance anyway.

Really?!?! You don't need life insurance when you retire. May be the stupidest thing posted on this thread. Thats assuming they stay retired and never have to use their savings for anything else. If they, for some reason, exaust the money they have saved, their premium may be unaffordable. Everyone should, ATLEAST, be thoughtful enough to leave a policy to take care of funeral or just pass down money to your family TAX FREE!!!!

If you have an estate large enough to be concerned about estate taxes whether it be personal wealth or because of a business, you should be on a first name basis with a competent tax/ estate planning attorney, not an insurance rep.

bayoudude.. A good place to start looking for life insurance are the free insurance quote websites. They will run your details through hundreds of life insurance companies and help you find the best policy for your requirement. There are some excellent resources on term life insurance. You may want to use the life Insurance Needs calculator and free insurance quote service.
