Your hardlegging on some of the female posters has been noted and reported to HR.

hmm might have been someone else who has an identical background as you. It was an on-campus interview for the ATL office. Prior to the interview I was chatting with an EY NYC guy ( LSUCIA alum) who I believe does what you do.

Hmmm I'm genuinely curious now. I'm the only male that I know of from the LSUCIA program at my level. There is another guy a level or two ahead of me who may have gone down to campus recruiting. He has a very Greek name and he's tall. Ring any bells?

As a half-Greek I probably would've recognized one of my own

If I recall correctly, the guy was slightly overweight... not sure about height. He definitely wasn't in Risk and obviously had the "I'm just here for the football game on Saturday" attitude

Sounds like me (although "slightly overweight" describes many in the Big 4 ) , but there is another LSU guy who fits that same description. He wasn't an LSUCIA alum though; just an LSU alum. Ironically his first name is the same name as my last name. He works primarily in the structured finance group.

It's got to be him as I haven't been down to LSU to recruit.

And Gekko of course I know you IRL.

Why does it seem like a select few people in the IA program have above a 3.5 gpa? A good portion of the people I know in the CIA program have low gpas....well by low I mean below a 3.5. I know it is not low relative to the entire university but I was expecting a lot of these people to have good gpas....guess not??

From what I have got out of this conversation I would expect the people in the program to have lower gpas because this is their last opportunity to get an internship.

IMO if you're an Accounting major it's hard to have above a 3.5. Now if you're in something like Marketing you definitely shouldn't have anything below that.

I mean I'm accounting and a bunch if my friends are and we all have well above a 3.5.

Yeah that makes sense. Just a lot of people in CIA act like they are awesome because they are in it.

He has a 3.9 so there's no use arguing with him. It's not all about gpa though. I'm sure all the personable people in our class will get good internships.

I would disagree with that statement...

I skipped the first recruiting event, but if DT is there for the sponsors event, I'll make sure to give him the low down on you Pumpkins...prob not much good will come out of the conversation though...

It seems that knowing so many people who work for the big four might actually hurt me

Pumpkins don't be so defensive. It was an observation from afar.
