Yeah the undergraduate/Masters/phd programs are all 10 or 11 I think. They have completely moved away from the business school because a) it sucks and b) they don't want to share their money with them.

Couldn't agree more.

And the results do not lie. It works for those people that like it. Just do not like how they do stuff in there.

I couldn't buy into that style of recruitment unless I didn't have any other option.

Do you know how strict the companies are as far as their GPA requirements? One of the companies I'm most interested in has a 3.5 requirement and I'm right under that. I also have other credentials that I think will make me stand out. When you went through the program were people able to get interviews if they were slightly below the requirement?

I'll be so disappointed if they don't at least interview me.

That is my outlook on it. And I honestly think it is a lot of students last stop and hope at an internship so they go through it. Which may be directly related to their drop rate....just a thought.

Are you talking about big 4 audit? Because their gpa requirement isnt usually that high. But you should probably speak to the recruiter about it.

No my GPA is fine for the big 4 and most of the other companies. There are only two industry companies that require a 3.5 and they are two of the ones I want

Hey Pumpkins, are you in the section 1/ 9:00 section? I saw on page 1 another poster said they were in Section 1 too.

And we're in the 4th week of school now so most of the events are done thank goodness. We have an interview sign up next week & interviews right after Mardi Gras and that's pretty much it.

It's internships, not FT positions so I don't care. If Allianz is coming to recruit for a position in Munich, or we have the ability to sign up for Coca-Cola Hellenic and travel in over 20 countries in the Mediterranean, then we have a pretty solid deal going.

Internships turn into FT jobs in most cases. While those are very cool opportunities, I would be careful of missing on an opportunity that can turn into a FT job I would actually accept.

It's hard to tell. It all depends on how many others above the 3.5 dropped resumes with them.

I was below most of the GPA requirements for most of the companies I dropped with and got interviews with all of them. However, I also had good work experience (for college) and I was very involved in my business fraternity.
