Who knows?
What i do know is I missed @98eagle 's volatility trade. I guess it was too obvious and too easy and I just missed it.

We need a violent gap up on IBIT/MSTR tomorrow to wake up the covered call sellers and re-shuffle the volatility deck.

Around $3.5B in ETF inflows since Monday June 9th. Price looks increasingly offsides atm.

Kinda big news today with the rule that now allows bitcoin (and possibly all of crypto assets) to be used in evaluation of assets for mortgage applications.

That’s such a shitty graph. It has like 3 “alt szns” in 2023 alone

Yeah, there are a bunch of positive things that have happened largely unnoticed. Very long term, not referring to trading. It’s all positive for those of us who own physical BTC. I always make an effort to differentiate between speculative trades and long term investments.
I guess I should add above I posted “have happened”. Not unimportantly also happening and will happen.
When Jerome Powell makes comments like he’s made recently, it’s pretty difficult to ignore given his always conservative comments, and his evolution on crypto from past comment and beliefs .
As close as some follow the Fed., and traditional finance issues, it’s remarkable these same people have missed a lot of this.

Only kinda big news. It has to be on a regulated exchange to be counted. I only keep about 10% on Coinbase and the rest is self custody.

quote:Still, its huge. Crypto millionaires that cannot qualify for a house loan because they are all in on bitcoin or other coins, can now use those assets. The exchange piece is irrelevant IMO. I'm curious as to once you buy the house and have the mortgage, can you then move the coins to cold storage

I would think so. I don’t have to maintain my other assets I give to a mortgage company in the original location or state once we’ve closed.

If so, that would make the "held on an exchange" a moot point

Just until the mortgage closes, yeah

The main application will probably be ETFs. Most people with significant btc exposure hold a portion in one of the ETFs.
And I'm guessing this will mostly pertain to the wealthy because your asset portfolio isn’t really that big of a factor on a primary mortgage.

Yeah it’s a fact of life. It's the essence of why dead people are the best investors.
If I’m desperate for a rally I will sell a bit just to dare the chart to take my money. And it almost always does.

What do we think Bitcoin runs to next week?

quote:Definitely agree that taking emotion out of a trader's mindset makes a much better trader. If the trader is not dead yet, if they can learn to trade like a robot with no emotion, no panic and no FOMO plus adopt a set strategy with specific entry and exit points, they will do much better.
