I mean agree with that. but even that has risk of backfiring. what happens to the USD if its implicit violence to support its fiat is weakened, or if other countries' implicit violence becomes more persuasive?
I think that might be a benefit of crypto, it removes the aspect of actors with competing implicit violence. there is no need for a centralized power's implicit violence to influence voluntary agreement. it is even resistant to violence considering its global and less centralized. it would be impossible to violence crypto to death. as long as there are people with access to internet and electricity, crypto will persist. if we get to a scenario where that doesnt exist, then currency is going to the be least of anyone's concerns.
but yes as it stands the usd is stable due to the current faith in it.

Where was this thread when BTC was at 60K? Funny how the price of BTC and the inclination to criticize it are inversely proportionate. Ever notice that?
